Vehicle Detail

Greetings. Thanks for looking at my auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is one 2004 Honda Element. It is USED and I believe to be in GOOD condition. I have listed every flaw and significant feature that I know of to make the bidder be aware of what I am offering. First off. There is an intermittent CHECK ENGINE LIGHT on condition. It goes on and off at random. Codes point toward catalyst efficiency and O2 sensors. Engine starts and idles fine but sometime stumbles a bit when cold. Fuel injectors were changed with genuine Honda® injectors at about 175,000 miles and improved things a lot, but it does not run perfect. Compression checked and is fine. Valves were adjusted with fuel injector service. Oil flow valve for valve for VTEC was replaced. No engine or valve train rattle or engine knock. I drive daily on I480 with no concern for reliability, just want to state that is does not run perfectly. Maybe your local Honda wizard has the potion or experience. The CRUISE CONTROL (and I do not mean Nicole Kidman, Come on, that was funny.) Does not engage every time. Sometimes it energizes and works without flaw, and sometimes, it does not. Push button several times and it works flawlessly, and other times, won't engage. Its not that is does not work, its that it works intermittently. The front Accessory charge port does not have 12 volts, meaning it does not work. The rear port does. For me, no problem. for others, may be a deal breaker, BUT it is stated here. When I bought this vehicle from my friend (first, original owner), he had hooked some gadgety electronics. There is a power cable in the glovebox that i do not recognize. Maybe for a lap top or something. Still there, and I stated, it is stated. So, onto the GOOD stuff...Element is fitted with really good Cooper® Discoverer radials, as can be seem in pics. All are at least 70% tread remaining and worn evenly.Brakes are recent all around. Good quality pads, rotors, Cardone® premium coated calipers, all professionally installed. Suspension and steering are free from rattles and clunks. Though, it is important to note that the exhaust will occasionally touch the aftermarket hitch under the right conditions and chatter or rattle. No safety concern but from time to time, it is audible. Vehicle has a "killler stereo". the dash part as shown. Under the Pass seat, is a really nice amp. The cable from battery to amp is significant, and at MY age 58 with hearing aids, doesn't really do me justice. I'm told it's awesome, but can't vouch for it/ Was told its $1500 stereo. It's included, installed as is, where is. For what its worth. The Element is NOT known for its rearward visibility, so I installed two sailboat spreader lights in the tailgate. They are brighter than...well, a LOT of thing. They are Holy Crap Bright. Work automatically when Reverse is selected. Killer bright, Professionally installed. So, next. This vehicle has NEVER been smoked in. Not a little, not a long time ago. So, if you smoke, Cool. Bid and do you thing. If you don't, check it out. I cleaned element out, sure; I wiped it down (heck it was a bit dusty, but!... to my knowledge, no french fry has ever bee consumed in this vehicle). Interior pics are from Saturday night. Cleaned out, air-hosed out for dust and simply wiped down with a Mr. Clean-type rag. No funky or furry odors, no strange or odd, wrinkle-your-nose faces here. I believe this to be as straight forward as you'll get. BUT, do not forget what I stated above. It does not run perfectly. So, Some might ask, "why is it for sale?" Well, my little kids are in college, my Honda Element looks good and still has value, and, after all that, I always wanted a Honda Pilot. Check out my Ebay history. No bullshit. Won the bid saturday, consummated this morning, and now drive a Pilot.... The heck! wife says. "Pick one..." she still loves me. Good luck in bidding. I take my ebay VERY seriously. READ THIS-> PRUDENT BIDDERS WILL ASK QUESTION BEFORE BIDDING. If you are not sure what that means, please read it again. I wis all well and good luck. This Honda Element is a good vehicle and I believe I have represented it well. Vehicle is available for inspection during reasonable hours up to 4 hours before time of auction end. PLEASE. If this description is not enough or you are uncertain, please ask questions before bidding. THANKS Tom
