I've enjoyed this car for 5 years now, but it's time for something different. I've never owned a car that was as fun as this, which is why I kept it as long as I did. I've never driven it in the rain, and because I live in a pretty wet climate, it's spent most of the time covered up in my garage on a trickle charger. I've averaged about 1,000 miles a year on it, always in the spring and summer months. Really incredibly fun car to drive. It's truly an adult street legal go-kart! Heat blows hot, A/C blows cold. This car includes the touring package which includes leather seats, door panels, power windows, and extra insulation on the soft top. It also includes the optional $1,500 hard top (and carrying case) that you won't find with many of these cars for sale. I've not made any modifications or upgrades as I'm more of a fan of leaving vehicles stock. The prior owner put on a new muffler that they said helped to increase the power. Can't remember if they called it Stage 2 or Stage 3 as it was 5 years ago. They also gave me the original muffler, which has been sitting, wrapped up in my basement since the day I got the Lotus, and will include with the sale if you want it. Otherwise, I'll just recycle it. It has a great Sony sound system with remote control. Not that you'd ever use the remote as these cars are small! Stereo opens to allow an I-pod to plug into and close it back up. I've always just left an old I-pod plugged into it with my favorite driving songs. Car also includes a camera mount directly behind the driver/passenger seat and the original Lotus Elise manual and tool kit. It also comes with a green and yellow car cover in honor of the Oregon Ducks. It also comes with two sets of keys! There are two scratches/scuffs on the passenger seat. I took close up photos of these. I'd guess there's probably a way to greatly reduce or fix this blemish, but it never really bothered me enough to want to deal with it. Everything else on the car is great. It has a few tiny nicks/marks closer to the under carriage, but nothing noticeable unless you're doing a really close up inspection. It's in line with what you'd expect for a car with 30,000 miles on it, basic wear and tear. The only other thing worth mentioning is that I painted the wheels last year. I really liked the look of the black wheels better and had no intention of selling this car for the long term. I did this myself and it was a 2 weekend process of getting all four wheels off the car, cleaning them like a surgeon, and slowly applying a generous amount of paint. I'll admit that I was perfectionist with this task and was really pleased with the outcome as I love the all red and black combination. No one will ever know they are painted, trust me. Yes, my car has a Thunder Cat sticker on the back window. I hope you decide to leave it there as it's awesome.
