Vehicle Detail

Fully restored, numbers matching 1974 Triumph Trident with outstanding paintwork that starts first time, goes and drives very well. I bought this 74 T150V two and a half years ago for my collection and have only ridden it 100 miles since then. It have been stored in my garage for the past 18 months as i was busy restoring two 70’s RD Yamahas. Now I am moving from California to Minnesota with work and need to downsize and sell 2-3 of my bikes (see my other listings). The Trident was fully restored a few years ago, before i bought it. The frame is powder coated but its an excellent job - not too thick and looks like paint. The restoration must have been expensive since there are many new parts on the bike: new exhausts (I believe they are OEM), new British rims and spokes, new TT100s (Japanese made - superior to the Chinese version TT100s). Shocks are new Hagon units. Front mudguard is NOS or has been rechromed. there is very light patina on the original rear mudguard (original ”5 speed” sticker). All other chrome and alloy is excellent. Virtually all fasteners are new. Seat has been recovered. No rust at all inside the tank. The bike steers straight, stops and handles very well. It always starts first kick (after a carb tickle when cold). The choke cable is missing but I got one from L.P. Williams in the UK - just had no time to fit it. It doesn't need choke to start from cold. I got the tank repainted by a local custom car painter since it was the wrong shade of gold when I bought it. I got the paint from Don Hutchinson in MA - they are the Triumph paint gurus in the US. The tank was painted, then pinstriped by hand and cleared over - it looks outstanding. I also added mirrors from L.P. Williams and I also just fitted a new Motobatt sealed acid battery since the battery died during storage. There are two issues to mention, in the interests of full disclosure: it leaks oil from the rear pushrod tubes. Since i believe the bike was not used after the rebuild (before i bought it), then it has only done 100 miles since rebuild, which is when the head should be retorqued. That will likely fix it. If not, there is a seal mod available on eBay for these bikes. Also there is a very slight clutch slip at full throttle (and only at full throttle). It never becomes worse when riding, but I have been unable to adjust it out (I am not a British bike expert). Once again, there is a common mod available -search for TRIUMPH T150 T160 BSA ROCKET 3 CLUTCH RAMP MECHANISM MODIFICATION KITon eBay, which costs $60. I have just had no time to do these repairs. A video startup and walkaround can be seen at https://youtu.be/zwbD62vlpFk More hi res pics can be found at https://flic.kr/s/aHsmp2jaqm Video and pics were taken this week The bike is registered in CA in my name but has been on non-op since Dec 2017 (fully paid up). Bike is located in Hollister, CA. I can assist with loading if the buyer uses a shipper, since I work from home. I can keep the bike here for a couple of weeks to help international buyers. Bidders with less than 10 feedback please contact me before bidding, or the bid may be rejected. Shipping to the UK would cost about $1100, plus 5% import duty. I have over $9000 in this bike - thats the buyers good fortune - I just dont have space to take all my bikes to MN. The bike is offered at a low starting price with no reserve. If i get no bids from this listing i will keep it and sell my RZ350 or Z1.
