This is for a very economical vehicle for a diesel enthusiast . I would recommend it especially for the people who knows about the VW Diesel miracle; the Golden Series which was produced only for 5 years.. The new diesels are nothing like this and are not often recommended . Great Technical condition . It is one of the rare " Goldene Serien" original production from Germany. - Million KLM Club- Member. this one is only at 272 miles yet. Perfect smooth running instant start no smoke no oil leak.. Perfect transmission , turns, brakes, air and heat, new uptodate sound system . It is expected to go for long many miles yet problem free. Exterior : very good almost rust free Interior: Needs roof cloth repaired Local repair quote was $300.00 .. The upholstery is in shape worn by years but no serious damage . Negatives : The luggage door power lock caused trouble by draining battery power when left without start for prolonged periods. Therefore to disconnect it so it can be opened manually with the key, I removed the corresponding fuse. This caused naturally the door locks and sun roof not working by automatic power control. One who has time probably remove the luggage lock system completely and put the fuse back .. I never messed with that therefore for now these functions are not working: The power locks. Theft alarm, the sun roof .. All of them could be put to work if so desired. disclosure : I am not a mechanic and my information here is only what I know or experienced. I drove this vehicle for long time, so did my kids wife. I would expect it to run problem free for many long miles . There were no accidents, no repairs other than usual things like bear-rings packing and breaks maintenance . But naturally it is sold as is and not guarantee or warrantee is promised in any form.
