This is an honest car sold by an honest owner. This was my daughters first car and she is now in college and no longer requires a car. had plans on fixing all of the imperfections but don't seem to have the time, my loss your gain. Car is in excellent running and driving condition, newer battery, good tires , updated cross drilled and vented rotors with ceramic pads, fresh synthetic oil change (mobil1) ,aftermarket Kenwood bluetooth cd player, working power top, 2 new power window regulators, aftermarket headlights and taillights, rear wing spoiler with brake light, newer radiator ac condenser, electric fans, thermostat,two years ago, daughter hit a rock in winter and took out the bottom of the core support which was replaced with new as well as the previously mentioned front end mechanicals. no structural damage caused. rock also took out the fog lights which were not put back on. hense the lower grill without the light for the glx model. the car has original paint, as far as i can tell hasnt ever been touched up. I bought the car with the round ding in the front bumper about the size of a tennis ball, has some spiderwebbing in the cover as well. Along with a slight dent in the hood by the vw badge above the front bumper cover.The car is a true 5 footer. from 5 feet away it looks great, as you get right on top of it, it shows its 15+ years of age, along with all of the pictures where my finger points out the major flaws there are the usual fine scratches and chips of a car this age. i spend more time pointing out the flaws than i do the pluses because i dont want anyone to say i misrepresented this car!!! if anything i understated the quality.things that are broken or need to be repaired as pointed out by the photos are : ac compressor clutch is sticking will need replacing, convertible top is in need of replacing, back window pulled apart and was repaired starting to frey on edges as well, common on this vehicle. pass side door panel insert needs to be repaired, part is included, also common on this vehicle, rear cup holder behind console is broken, door marker light interior pass side fell into door, slight delamination of upper dr side windshield in corner not broken,gas cap tether cord is broken off, air bag light is on code reads it needs a new control module located under the floor shift console.Missing one vw center wheel cap, passenger side rear window weatherstripping needs replacing (replacement comes with the car needs to be installed when new top is being put on) i also bought a complete timing belt and water pump kit for this vehicle and will be including it with the car, routine maint is to change it at 100,000 miles fyi. Reliable transportation, will make a great first car for someones teenager. The reserve is extremely low compared to the retail value of the car in order to compensate for the details it needs to be complete.
