Time to part with my 2001 C5 Corvette. Manual 6-speed transmission, 5.7-liter LS1 V8, and all the extras: Heads-up display, dual climate, CD changer. You also get the giant liftback trunk and two removable tops. Both the opaque hard top and the tinted "glass" roof panel are included. I'm the third owner (AutoCheck says 4 for some reason, but I've included a pic of the cover page of the CarFax), and I wish I drove this car more. It has less than 84,000 miles. In my ownership I've replaced the radiator and hoses (with OEM stock units), the spark plugs and wires, the tensioner pulley and the A/C pulley clutch (and replaced the belt/did timing), new valve cover gaskets, brake pads (high performance pads, so expect a little squeakiness) and brand new rotors, tires (it's running on Michelin Pilot Super Sports), done all the required services, and just put in a new battery. Mechanically this car is incredibly sound, and all the electronics work as well. I also reupholstered the seats and put in new foam, both driver and passenger, and installed new sun visors. The front badge is also brand new, OEM (and you wouldn't believe what it cost). There are three modifications: The car has an MGW short-throw shifter (which is awesome), with the stock OEM knob and a custom black leather boot so it looks stock. THE ORIGINAL SHIFTER AND BOOT ARE INCLUDED WITH THE CAR. The car also has an aftermarket single-DIN Pioneer stereo with a folding screen. Bluetooth has been installed so you can make calls and stream music, and a USB port has been where the cigarette lighter used to go in the armrest console box (works for charging and USB music). THE ORIGINAL WORKING HEAD UNIT IS INCLUDED WITH THE CAR, and I did NOT remove the OEM CD changer from the trunk. If you wanted to, you could have this car bone stock in a couple hours. The third: the previous owner put some ugly LEDs in the car. I replaced everything with stock incandescent bulbs EXCEPT the LEDs in the window-switch panels in the doors. So when the headlights are on the window switches light up blue. The only issue with the car right now is the TPMS system: it works, and gives an accurate reading if you make sure not to let the tire pressure drop. If the tire pressure drops to where it wants to give you a low-pressure warning, a "service TPMS" warning pops up. I had it looked at, and was told the batteries that power the sensors that send the tire pressure to the car's computer are wearing down. I figured I'd have them replaced the next time I replaced the tires (as the labor of removing the wheels and tires is the most expensive part), but the new tires still have plenty of life. I have included photos of the TPMS readout so you can see that it functions. Also the tint applied to the rear window is also old and coming loose a bit (photo included). There are some scratches in the paint, which I've documented in the photos, but no dents or body damage. The "glass" roof (Chevrolet just used plastic) has some crazing and wear evident, but it's water- and wind-proof, and the seals are good. It's just...well...about 17 years old. Clean Carfax, and I have records from myself and the second owner. On top of the stock parts and two roof panels, I also have the OEM front license plate delete panel and some other bits and bobs. Whether you want a platform for modification or just a clean example of a great sportscar, this Corvette is worth a look. Let me know if you have any questions or want any extra photos posted.
