I am only the 3rd owner of this REAL 65 Impala SS convertible. In 1965 Chevrolet built over 1 million full size Chevrolets, only 57,000 were Super Sports and only 27,000 of those were convertible Super Sports.....so having a REAL SS convertible is special.This one has the original 283 and powerglide transmission (both have been rebuilt) and original rear end.I have restored the engine bay, undercarriage and installed a brand new interior. It also has a new heater core, power top motor and hydraulic cylinders, factory gauge package and clock in console.....all work as it should.All weatherstripping and rubber seals have been replaced, new fuel tank and exhaust system, has power steering but not brakes...also has new aluminum radiator. ( I do have original radiator that goes with car ) Exterior paint is 44 years old and still looks fantastic!! It has some blemishes as expected for its age but I don't worry about parking it in a Wal-Mart lot.Frame is solid except one rusted area near drivers door.
