Collector owned and amazingly well preserved, this great running 1979 BMW 528i (e12 series) has only 100,344 original miles... it's a 4-door sedan finished in rare Sienna Brown... the color BMW featured in their 1979 magazine ads for the 528i. The color brown is cool again in 2018 and very retro! Please look at all the photos: the engine compartment, trunk, interior and chassis is in exceptionally clean condition. To the best I can determine, this BMW wears original paint, has its original interior etc. The only non-stock item in the car is an upgraded in-dash cd player and radio. E12 series cars, while not BMW's most collectible, they are extremely rare today, especially in this condition. At the time of listing, it's the only e12 for sale on Ebay. This was dealer sold to me as a 1-owner car ...owned for 38 years by a NYC business executive and was always garaged and meticulously maintained through 2017. When I had it delivered to me it had a January 2019 NY State inspection sticker (since removed for Va. registration.). It is now tagged and on the road in Virginia with classic/antique tags. Yes- miles are actual/original and accurate as per the clear Virginia title. Over the past few years I've been hunting down some cars from my bucket list and a 528i (e12) can now be checked off that list. I've priced the car aggressively to sell fast. There is no rust anywhere on the car anywhere. The paint has only a few very minor blemishes and scratches and a 1-inch area on the hood where the paint is lifting (hard to show in photographs). Other features: nice original BMW 14" stock wheels with excellent center caps and nearly new radial tires all around original trunk mounted BMW 5- series tool kit (as shown) battery less than 1-year old and always maintained on a trickle charger cold a/c refreshed automatic transmission (all belts, fluids replaced and adjusted by selling dealer earlier this year) beautiful all-original interior: no fading, no rips, no tears, no marks. NO CRACKS IN DASH clean original headliner and carpet smooth operating electric sunroof with wind deflector excellent glass all around all gauges work, even the clock smooth running/starting M30 6 cylinder engine with Bosch L. Keep it stock as it is now or you can customize this with lots of aftermarket parts and accessories that are available through numerous BMW enthusiast suppliers. Personal inspections are welcomed and encouraged. The car is garaged near Charlottesville, Va. and only a few miles from Charlottesville airport (2-hour drive from Washington DC).
