If you Googe ATK the first one on images is my 2001(blue frame) against a stone wall. One of the best bikes I have ever owned. For some really stupid reason I sold it. Immediately regretting the decision I searched and found this one with only 237 miles on it and shipped it in from CA. I was setting this up to be my ultimate dual sport when I happened upon a wrecked KTM 690 which I have been riding ever since. I need the space as this 605 sat on my work table for nearly four years. I went over everything and upgraded many items such as the Magura hydraulic clutch instead of the cable. Some items i changed to suit me such as lowering the foot pegs 1.5" which really helps handling. Other areas that had known model flaws were fixed such as welds on kickstand and gusseting of the aluminum sub-frame. The bike now has 238mi total since I rode it around the yard to test it. I may regret this decision as well but ............The bike has excellent components such as Brembo brakes, Talon hubs, Rotax engine (once used by military), Ohlins rear shock, Paoli forks, etc. I forgot to add that the ES is for electric start as well as a kicker which makes these super reliable for remote areas like Mexican deserts. Also I put in a Li ion battery.
