After my grandfather passed away in 1993, my mother inherited the car and owned it until she passed away in 2016.My dad had a fender bender sometime in the late 90’s.The right front fender and hood were replaced (original Ford parts) and that’s when the car was repainted.The car has a few minor chips, but is in very good shape.Before the fender bender, the car had the original Champagne Gold factory paint and no rust whatsoever to the body.The undercarriage of the car is in very nice, original condition. The car had been sitting in the garage for many years covered with dust. It has not been tagged or driven since 2004.We pushed the car out of the garage and put a new battery in it, primed the carb and it fired right up.Basic maintenance was performed; oil, plugs, filters, antifreeze, and we started out working on the fuel system.New gas tank was installed.New fuel pump installed.Original carburetor was rebuilt.New power steering pump was installed.Ignition coil was replaced.Many years ago, the taillamp sequencer was rebuilt.Ignition is an electronic conversionNew ignition coilTransmission shifts fine, but leaks fluidOil pan has small leak We removed the interior because a mouse made its home in the interior.There are two holes in the original headliner from the mouse, but it is the original headliner.All seats and carpets have been scrubbed and reinstalled. At that time, we found the build sheet under the back seat. Driver side power window motor was replaced.Neutral safety switch was rebuilt.The radiator is original.The brake lines are original.The tires have good tread, but they are 20 year old Michelins. This is a nice driver quality car.This is NOT a show car, re-spray has a few dust nibs.This is not a nut and bolt restoration, but a fine example of an original car.The car is being sold as is,where is, without any warranty expressed or implied.
