Many purists out there would infer this kind of work to be classified as a 'nut/bolt' restoration literally because the nuts/bolts used are new! This hardware can be uniquely identified by looking at the face of the fastener. It should feature a black-oxide coating, a hexagonal shaped head, and a pre-installed flat washer that is typically a 1/16th of an inch thick. These types of fasteners are used on critical body components such as fenders, doors, valence, header panel, etc. On the tip of the bolt you will see it spirals into a sharp point rather than most you will obtain at a hardware store which are flat-tipped. This allowed the factory to quickly assemble the car without centering everything perfectly. The bolt would self-center as it was secured onto the nut without stripping the threads or create a cross-threading pattern. Yet it's not too stiff like some Camaro's with as many as five leaf springs where it almost feels like you're driving an old pickup truck when you hit bumps on the road.Subframe looks to have been sanded down and fully repainted during restoration for long lasting protectionAll fuel lines and brake lines were also replaced with new OEM style parts3/8" High Performance Front to Rear Fuel Line keeps this 350 adequately supplied with fuel at all timesFuel Tank was painted a nice flat silver and mounting straps were given a semi-gloss black finish.Fully Working Parking Brake which is quite rare for these carsMost of the time the cables corroded, frayed, and broke off leaving it inoperable. Believe it or not it is very common in classic cars to find a parking brake that is not functional.Flowmaster Dual H-Pipe Exhaust System adds extra performance to the car and sounds as great as any raw classic American V8 should! Compared to some other exhaust systems on the market, this Flowmaster system has very little drone inside the cab making those long highway trips migraine-free!All engine/transmission mounts were changed out with new ones during the drivetrain restorationFront end suspension was completely serviced with all new bushings/components. Tie Rod Ends, Ball Joints, Control Arm Bushings, Power Steering Gearbox Linkage, etc. This car handles excellent around corners and is very responsive! Many classic cars you will find out there haven't had the suspension serviced in decades or even at all. You can identify this when it feels like you're all over the road and have to constantly correct your steering wheel. Not an issue with a car like this that was properly worked-on.Trunk was painted with the correct spatter paint and comes with a reproduction trunk mat as you can see in the photos below.Trunk latch was painted the correct flat silverCompletely new rear wiring harness in the trunk with new light bulb sockets and sidemarker housingsTrunk deck lid has the correct jacking instructions and limited slip decals oriented in the correct position (see photos below)Jacking instructions decal looks slightly crooked? Believe it or not, this is a small detail that was replicated here on this car that was done by the factory. These cars were on an assembly line and perfect orientation was not a concern. They stuck it on and moved on to the next car to keep production moving quickly. TakeawayTo briefly sum this car up, this 1969 Camaro is the quintessential classic muscle car that you've been looking for. Whether you have a collection that you want to add this car to or even take this car out driving every day, this car was built from the factory for that and was restored with that same idea kept in mind.
