If you are looking into a 1980 Pontiac Trans Am but can't get over the price you have to pay for one of these cars and don't mind a little work, then this car is what you're looking for. The body work and paint on the car is very nice and well done, however there is a small spot on the front bumper where it has bubbled(pic shown). The car has very little rust underneath and was nearly rust free on all body panels before paint(I have 2 pics pre-resto I can share upon request). The glass and T tops are in good condition and the tops latch tightly to the car. The floor pans and trunk also seem to be in good condition. This TA is powered by a 400 Chevrolet engine mated to a th350 transmission which run and shift great. The brakes are visibly in good condition and stop the car quickly. The only serious mechanical issue I know of with the car is the heater core has been bypassed due to leaking. It had A/C originally but has been removed. The interior does need a lot to be put back to mint condition. It does not have factory seats in the front but they fit and look decent. The seat belts and buckles need to be reattached to the floor. The door panels appear to be original and need new clips or replaced with power window panels because power windows have been added since 1980. The driver window motor is bad and will also need to be replaced. The tachometer, speedometer, clock, and volt gauges work properly but the oil pressure and coolant temp gauges do not. The trunk of this car is full of the factory plastic pieces for the interior trim and some extra exterior items. In addition to this car you also get another 1980 Trans Am for parts(as it does NOT have a title). It is in fair condition body wise but has no interior other than dash, gauges, and steering wheel. The parts car still has a Pontiac engine and rear end with it. Overall this is a fun car to get out and enjoy, it is not a show car or full factory resto but it does turn heads and gets attention at ever gas station or stop you make I can guarantee that much. It just needs someone willing to put in a little more time and money to finish it up properly.
