Vehicle Detail
Here you go folks, my beloved Grand Wagoneer! Driving this Wagoneer just makes me want to cut out of work and head to the mountains! It will take you wherever you want to go! I get nothing but thumbs up, when driving him to work, our camp site, wherever!I've done a lot of work in a short period of time to make him dependable. Recent repairs added up to $4195.00;New spark plugs, dist cap, rotor, air filter, fuel filter, Trans filter kit and fluid, underside skid plate, new 3/16 brake line and fluid in a discovered bad area, rear brake drums, rear brake shoes, rear brake wheel cylinders, rear brake adjuster kits, remanufactured steering box and new steering pressure hose, new rear pass window left/right racks, 4 new P235/75R15XL tires, new fuel pump, new alternator. All recently done Nov 2017.All 4 power windows work, both power door mirrors work, both front power seats work. I recently installed two new front door panel speakers, and the original AM/FM cassette stereo works. Both rear speakers are original and need replaced. All dash lights work, blinkers, and shift indicator. Horn, windshield wipers, etc also work. AC blows cold! Recently passed VA State Inspection Dec 2017.Goes into all forward and reverse gears as it should and shifts fine. 4 wheel drive works as it should, and recently drove this way to and from work in 4 high, when we had a freak snow storm here in SE VA this past winter! Engine runs strong, idles just as it should, and has never left me walking. "Gus" has just over 140K miles, and may be a little more as I'm still driving him. The interior, although not perfect, has been fine for me. Carpet is good, front drivers seat has a crack in the upper shoulder area, all other seats fine. Headliner is great, both front and rear dome lights work as they should, including the map lights.Things that I haven't gotten to yet, that don't work; fog lights don't work, but have an original dash switch I've yet to install, and the tailgate window does not go down. I haven't tackled this yet, but plenty of forums on line that can assist you through the repair, or simply take it to your local Jeep shop. Cruise Control doesn't appear to work, but never use it. Both lower rear qtr panels need repair, and some along both rockers. Was going to be my next winter project to repair. It has the rare rear window deflector. I bought 4 new Gabriel shocks for it that need to be installed, just because. This Grand Wagoneer is simply a great piece of Americana that you can buy and drive him anywhere, and make repairs as you go. Good Luck! Sorry folks, but forgot to mention the cooler does not go with it. Also have the receipt for all the work that was done.
