I'm selling my 1987 Mazda RX-7 Turbo II. I am the third owner of this car. It sat for a little while in my relatives garage and it came to me in non-running condition. I lubed the apex seals by spraying Marvel Mystery oil in the leading spark plugs and down the intake manifold ports, let it sit for a few days and then turned the engine over by hand. Some of the connectors on the wire harness are broke from a previous fuel injector repair (reason it sat for so long) so I made sure all the necessary electrical connections were made and it turned right over. It runs and drives great but the idle bounces from 1000rpm to 1500rpm. I think it's either the throttle position sensor or a vacuum leak. There's still a little white smoke coming from the tail pipes because I haven't been able to run it long enough to burn off all the MMO. There's less and less every time I start it though. This is an all original unmolested RX7 Turbo II, which is very rare. With a little work, this could be a great car. The car will need to be trailered but it can be driven onto a trailer. The car must be picked up in Mesa, AZ. Pros: 1) new battery 2) new fuel lines 3) only 90k miles 4) Interior is in pretty nice condition 5) I have a new Al radiator for it that's included. Cons: 1) needs a new water pump (leaks). I have the new part in hand (included). 2) small crease on drivers side quarter panel 3) small ding on the bottom of the front nose clip on drivers side (very minor). A couple other very small penny size dents. 4) some of the connectors on the wire harness still need to be repaired 5) idle pulses 6) paint peeled off on small section of hood 7) passenger side door has scratch and the mirror is off. I have the mirror (included). The window regulator on this door will also need to be replaced. 8) Leaks a small amount of oil from the oil pan gasket 9) Plastics (fan shroud and skid plates) need to be reinstalled (included) 10) aftermarket radio installed so there is a gap under the radio. Needs plastic cover or storage unit. I can send a video of the car running if interested.
