Bid With Confidence Condition: If your in the market for a Contractor's, Mechanics Work Truck, Carpenter, if you are Self Employed, or, a Homeowner looking for a great second vehicle - Please pay attention to this listing! This is an Excellent running F350 ! It starts clean and runs strong. It does Not smoke or leak any fluids. It drives straight, brakes clean, and idles smooth at low and high rpm. The truck has a great posture. Bushings and suspension components are all tight and grease fittings appear to have been maintained. The transmissions shifts smooth and firm. It does Not make any funny noises going down the road; although, there is vibration around 70 +/- mph which I believe is coming from the bed and/or empty work boxes. On board diagnostics indicate engine vitals are all within normal operating range with No active warning codes. Factory and aftermarket options are all in good condition and operational. The tires are in excellent condition with no visible splitting or cracks and tread depth appears to be 90+/- %. The interior is pretty clean with a noticeable tear to the corner of the drivers seat. A/C blows ice cold and the rest of the HVAC system operates as it should. All lights, switches, and accessories are functional. It smells good inside the cabin. 4 x 4 is functional. 1200 lb Tommy Lift gate is in excellent condition. It is fully functional with average cosmetic imperfections and is free of mechanical defects. It is secured firmly to the truck frame and has full electric over hydraulic power. Roof mounted HD work Lights are bright and operational. Strobe light is operational and free of visible oxidation, roof accessory seals are tight at wiring and mounting points. Has clean Buyers brand work boxes with functional locks and several keys. It does not appear that this truck has seen any paint work or repaired accident damage. When I purchased this truck, it was disclosed to me as having "moderate" (meaning: average, medium, commonplace) rust to the frame and bed. For your peace of mind, clarity, and transparency in this auction I'm disclosing that the frame has Treatable surface rust (No rot, No holes, No major de-lamination), also , the truck's bed and bed stanchions / cross members are severely damaged and should be replaced in my opinion. All major under body components and hardware including: brake lines, bolts, brackets, hardware, seals, wiring, etc are in average to good condition. I have taken measures to begin treatment of the aforementioned by triple soaking the frame with OTC non toxic rust remover, pressure washing, and applying a clear brush-on inhibitor so you can see clearly what your working with, and, have some time to address it. I did not use highly abrasive measures nor the application of paint or undercoating to finalize or hide any imperfections. This vehicle recently passed State Inspections in both De and PA. History: This F350 was purchased new by Delaware County, PA DPW. It was then sold to Milton Regional Water and Sewer Authority around 10/13 - 39k miles who used it sparingly to around 4/18 - 70k miles. Milton could not speak to this trucks previous use; however, they installed the Tommy Gate and utility boxes. Moving forward it was primarily used for its lift gate function to transport valves, gates, etc. It was not used for towing or plowing. Most recent documented services from Milton includes: new RF Hub Assy, Rear Shocks, PM Service, Transmission Service, 1 new bank of Fuel Injectors, RF Tie rod, Pa State Inspection. Recent services performed by Spangler Motors, Milton, Pa. My Opinion: Since becoming a PowerStroke fan, I have bought and sold MANY 6.0L's. I have dealt with bone stock, studded, twin turbo, and beyond with all sorts of modified variations in between. When you have a good one that has not been tuned and abused they are generally an Excellent breed. Problem is.. how do you know? This truck is exactly the way I like to buy them; stock and in good order, with verifiable and documented history, so you can determine what, if any modifications make sense for your application. This truck has demonstrated to me through personal drive time that it does not have any of the problems generally associated with a questionable 6.0. I have no crystal ball but im happy to discuss why in detail with anyone interested. My opinion: This truck should last someone a long time. With the exception of the bed; if the aforementioned rust went completely untreated, this truck should still lasts 20+ years without structural failure. Also, the bed is a little shaky today but its not going to fall off tomorrow. To the Winning bidder: I am always happy to extend my resources to aid with your after-purchase.
