Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my 2006 Pontiac Solstice. I now have too many cars in my stable for a retiree on a pension to afford. My Solstice is Aggressive (Red) with a black convertible cloth top. The car is all original and I am the original owner. As of now the car has less than 30k miles on it. For the size and weight of this car it is very fast and nimble. When I ordered it I had a true roadster in mind and this car is every bit of that. In keeping with that I didn’t order power windows, power seats or any extra electrical stuff to go wrong. I ordered the cloth interior because it doesn’t get hot when the convertible top is down like leather seats do. While there is plenty of tread on the tires, they are original and probably should be replaced at some point. That said, the car does have the standard amenities on it. Engine: Ecotec 2.4L Fuel Injected 16-valve four-cylinder rated at 173 hp at 5,800 and 167 lb-ft at 5,500. Transmission: Factory 5-speed Aisin manual short throw transmission. Air conditioning Am/FM/CD player Cruise Control Digital Information Center (DIC) Intermittent wipers Rear glass window w/defroster Carpeted floor mats 2 cup holders As stated I am the original owner and the car is all factory equipped with the exception of a new battery. This was a summertime travel and cruise vehicle. It has never seen a winter and rarely seen rain. Probably more than 2/3rds of the mileage on this car are indeed highway cruising miles. I was surprised that (even at my age) long highway travel didn’t bring fatigue or soreness with this car! The car is very clean including the engine compartment, it has been babied not driven hard. I have the clear title in hand in my name. This car has had ZERO accidents or incidents and is as straight as the day I took delivery. I believe it was number 1239 off the assembly line in Wilmington, Delaware. There have been 3 factory recalls on the Solstice, one recall was in 2007 for a seal, that’s been done, the second was for the ignition switch, that has been done. The third is for a switch for the passenger airbag which it may or may not need. I got that latest notice in the fall after the car was stored for the season, I have the papers for it and it can be done free of charge at any GM dealer. Those papers go with the car. My wife and I have enjoyed this car and probably my reserve is too low but I don’t play games and I do want to sell the car, not get a feel for what it’s worth. I’m not a dealer, just a 61 year old car guy with 100% positive feedback. As with most cars on EBay, this one has been described to the best of my ability and there is no warranty and a non-refundable deposit of $500.00 to my PayPal account is due from the winning bidder within 48 hours of the auction's end. Remaining payment by certified check. Title will not be sent until paid in full. Shipping or pick up is the buyers responsibility, I will be here to meet with your shipper or you.
