It's a pretty slow drip that you probably wouldn't notice if you were wearing a rain jacket. I keep an old t-shirt behind the seat that I'll throw over my shoulder to catch the drips. I also exclusively hand-wash the car and am careful not to leave the high-pressure water over the area for too long. Flawless shifting and driving. On May-05-18 at 14:02:26 PDT, seller added the following information: Additional details that I missed adding initially (sorry.....can no longer edit original description): the backlight on dash behind the fuel tank gauge is out...you can view all the other gauges fine at night, but you'd need the overhead light on to see the fuel guagethe red plastic cover for the open-door indicator light on the driver-side door is cracked. it's still whole and in-tact, and the light is still functioning fine, but you can see the crackwill include an extra rear tire in great condition (the other got a nail through the sidewall). The pair of rear tires on the car now were new last year (2017). The two front tires are slightly older but still have lots of tread -- I did notice some cracking in the tread on them that would be good to have inspected.Awhile back, some rust started forming on the pieces of trim under the air intakes, in front of the rear wheels. My mechanic ensured that it wasn't elsewhere more structural (e.g. the chassis or larger body panels) and recommended covering it with Rust-Oleum, so I went with that. Haven't seen (or heard about in servicings) any reappearancethe mileage has increased over the week and may still slightly. The final mileage at time of auction closing will likely be between 119,685 and 119,710.My father is the original owner. I received the car from him in 2004 when he wanted to "upgrade", and I've had it in my immediate possession ever since. Unfortunately, I have not been diligent about maintaining service records (never saw myself selling it so didn't see the point), but I have been diligent about regular maintenance and addressing any issues as they arise. I would love to keep this car for another decade or two, but I'm moving (hopefully permanently) to Minnesota, where there is lots of snow that this car doesn't do so well in, and I won't have room to keep it garaged just to use in the couple of months without snow. It's a well-loved, well-cared-for car that still has lots of life and enjoyment to give. Why you should consider this car over others:this car is about as stock as you can get, which may be boring for some folks, but I really enjoy the authenticity. It was well-designed and well-built from the start. Some of the design and engine mods on others, even though done with quality parts and skill, ruin the car in my opinion. while the '93 model looks very similar to the '91 (as well as all the other Second Generation SW20 years), there are some significant differences. From Consumer Guide, improvements introduced in the '93 model included: "Suspension revisions were intended to reduce rear-end breakaway in hard cornering. Changes included reduced ride height, higher-rate springs and shock absorbers, stiffer bushings, and longer rear toe-control arms. Tires grew wider and bigger in diameter (now 15-inch). Alloy wheels got a fresh design," and it "gained a larger front air intake." Please research further online if you are considering different model years.if you are the winning bidder and you'd like to arrange/pay for this car to be looked at by a mechanic of your choice in New Orleans prior to full payment, it's alright by me. If the mechanic finds any significant issues not already mentioned in this listing, you have the opportunity to back out of the sale. If you choose to do so, and you've already paid the deposit, it will be returned to you in full. I want you to have total confidence that the car described here is the car you'll be getting and that I'm not hiding anything about it. Please do note, however, that the car has no warranty and is being sold "as is" (i.e. I have no way to guarantee that what is working today will continue working tomorrow). Once full payment is received, there will be no returns/refunds -- all sales are final. As always, please reach out with any questions.
