Vehicle Detail
Up for bid is a wonderfully attended to 1973 Triumph Bonneville T140V in terrific condition. A real head turner! This is one you can ride the day you get it!When we purchased this bike last year it has been taken down to its bare necessities (no turn signals, etc.) but we have restored all the necessary items to make it safe for any rider and more pleasing to the enthusiast! The sheer amount of parts we have added or replaced are too long to list here but here’s a highlight of some of them:`New front & rear tires (see pictures)`New Lucas Headlamp Bucket & Lamp`New Lucas front & rear turn signals`New Lucas high output stator`New Podtronics Inverter`New Custom built heavy gauge wire harness`New gel battery`New reverse cone shorty mufflers`New fuel tank petcocks`New tail lamp / license assembly`New brake pads`New brake lines`New Lucas coils`New plugs & wires`New turn signal switch assemblyEtc., etc., etc. The bike has the indestructibly reliable Boyer Brandsen electronic ignition which makes it a dream to run but since they are notoriously power reliant we have fitted the bike with a battery tender to keep it charged up and in tip top operating shape over the long periods of inactivity. The carburetors have been rebuilt and the engine is tuned and purrs like a kitten and is always an easy, easy “Two Kick” start on a warm day.See our videos here—>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-pjGaG3AtaQ&feature=youtu.be https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qaQ1IXm_M98&feature=youtu.be Aesthetically, it looks just as great as it runs.If you’ve been looking for a classic (notice the rare right hand British shifter). Ask us any questions and we are happy to respond ASAP. We’ll include all the shop manuals and even the old parts we replaced if you want to chop it back to the way it looked before (see pictures with old parts)You will need to arrange your own pickup or delivery but we will gladly assist any shippers you contract. The bike is located in Asheville NC which is lovely this time of year if you’d like to pick it up in person!
