Vehicle Detail
.69%, or less than 1% Fewer than 1% of all 1976 Nova’s were fitted with a factory 4 speed manual transmission 4.49%, or less than 5% Fewer than 5% of all Nova’s built in 1976 were fitted with a factory 350 V8 This one’s got them both…and power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, and cruise control! (yes, cruise control on a 4 speed) The term “rare” is often used but seems very appropriate here. There are two videos below that show the car in detail. The first is an exterior walk around. The second shows the interior and includes a start up of the Nova. 1976 Chevrolet Nova VIN: 1X27L6L138876 Odometer reads 09145 350 V8 4 speed manual transmission W13: Cosworth Silver Poly exterior A52: Bench Seat 64D: Light Buckskin Sport Cloth 04C: Built 3rd week in April, 1976 Found this beauty under a carport complete with sagebrush and cobwebs galore. As we have more carports than barns here in Arizona, it’s our version of a barn find. The story I was told was that it was purchased new by a gentleman and his wife here in Arizona in 1976. They have been the only owners and it has been an Arizona vehicle its’ entire life. It’s been seldom used and has spent a majority of the last three decades under that carport. The last time it’s been driven was 2013, when a new gas tank and new dual exhaust were fitted to it. All I’ve done since acquiring it is installed a new battery, added a gallon of coolant, two gallons of premium fuel, and a quart of oil. The way you see it is the way I found it. It’s not been washed, cleaned out/up or had anything mechanically done to it. Even the cobwebs are still present in the engine bay. It started right up and runs great, though I have not driven it…other than onto a trailer. I wouldn’t advise driving this anywhere until the engine hoses/ clamps are looked at and the tires are addressed (they are decades old). Other than a repaint from its original W13 “Cosworth Silver Poly” to white, this car is just about untouched. Some things that will need attention are: Fuel gauge is not working Clock is not working I have not looked into everything, but most things seem to work (even the radio and the air conditioning blows). There is minor surface rust as witnessed in the photos/videos provided. The only areas of slight bubbling I’ve seen are on the trunk lid, just above the rear tail lights. The trim pieces for the rear/side windows are in the trunk and look to be complete. I’m not a mechanic but will answer any questions to the best of my ability. The Nova will come with its original 1976 Arizona title (in the original owner’s name) as well as a duplicate title that was requested in 2015. The title is free and clear and is already notarized. The mileage indicated on the title is “0000000X”, meaning that the mileage has never been recorded by the Arizona DMV. The odometer reads “09145”. It's either a 9K mile car, or a 109K mile car, you decide. The next owner will become the second registered owner. This is a private party sale in Arizona. There is no tax, or any other fees associated with the purchase. I will except Paypal for the deposit only. The remaining balance must be in cash.
