Vehicle Detail
Nice value on this Salvage Title 2003 Mercedes Benz SLK 230. A ton of parts remaining from a damaged but running donor car (r170 frame). To give you a quick rundown of this car it was purchased in FL, well maintained, stolen and crashed while turning in GA. Since then it has changed ownership twice, a purchasing company and myself. The last owner (me) purchased the car to repair parts on another car for a corporate client. Aside from that this is a fully running car that has a great supercharged engine with a little over 118K Miles that was given a Lucas treatment in the crankcase and gas tank late last year. Since then the car was periodically driven to clean the motor from general non-usage. This car has been garaged and maintained over most of its lifespan and is now as well. What you see is what remains. The damage is cosmetic on the passenger side door and rear skin with the actual impact damage being to the rim and tire of the car. The parts removed for use were the instrument panels related interior pieces, center console pieces, glove box, cd changer, and outer lights. The hood, actual instrument panel, and trunk are available but were removed for potential sale. I do have the majority of the original bolts and related hardware for the entire car also I believe. Bolts for hood and trunk are specifically still on car. The actual frame is 100% straight with a fully mechanically functioning hardtop. However, the actual convertible motor was disconnected to diagnose for repair. this is also included and I can explain how to fix (it’s easy). This engine has no noises or service lights and oil was replaced late last year (see pics). This car has been cold started in worst of the winter (subzero temps) without issue also. 4 Speed Automatic with manual and winter mode intact. Servo intact with no slip in gears and the gearbox oil has not been changed. This car has been speed tested up to 120 MPH without issue. Yes...seriously but I could not tell I was going that fast because the car just gets lower to the ground and handles better when you go faster with no shake or vibration like you get in a bigger car. This car is scary fast I kid you not
