Vehicle Detail
Rare 1942 Ford pickup. Very minor rust, solid floor and doors. Minor rust on corners of cab. Left rear fender has a small dent. The rest of the truck is very straight. Solid running boards, no cracks in the glass. 99% complete. Comes with two flathead v8 motors. Both have manual transmissions with them. Was told both motors ran. Excellent hot rod truck or restore to original. Please do research on this truck before bidding. 1942 is an interesting year in the long history of Ford trucks. Just before the bombing of Pearl Harbor (December 7th, 1941) Ford unveiled a redesigned pickup truck which caused them to no longer look like the cars. However, due to the involvement of the United States in WWII production of the 1942 Ford models was ceased on February 10th. Ford factories were completely redirected towards the war effort. Ford trucks would not be completely available to civilians until 1945. 1942 continues to be one of the rarest years found for Ford trucks. This is a no reserve auction. Highest bidder owns it. Clear title in my name. Will roll on trailer for shipping. Both motors and transmissions are in the bed as well as radiator, hood springs, driveline, and some other miscellaneous parts as seen in pictures. What you see in pictures is what you get. Call with any questions. (208) 320-5146 Thanks, Rich BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL SHIPPING COSTS. WILL ACCEPT CASH IN PERSON, CASHIERS CHECK OR DIRECT DEPOSIT
