The build plate on the firewall shows this car was built in Baltimore, and the paint and interior are the original colors. This is a no rust super solid South Carolina car. The current engine is a 1967 Pontiac 428ci with a mild cam that was rebuilt approx. 5000 miles ago. Speedometer shows 78900, unknown if original, the speedo just recently stopped working approximately 50 miles ago. Have not had time to check it out. The 3 spd turbo 350 auto trans shifts very tight and smooth matched up with a 390 posi rear end. This GTO came with Power steering and manual brakes (brakes stop great and are like new). Additionally included in the sale is a new brake power booster and all new brake lines from INLINE TUBE to covert to Power Brakes). INTERIOR: The rear seat in nice shape, dash cover like new, door panels very nice. The front seats, headliner and carpet look good but could be upgrading and also included in the sale are new front seat covers, headliner and carpet (see boxes in pictures). The AM radio is included as well and the wood grain on the dash piece for the heater controls will be installed. The heater and defroster work well. MOTOR 428CI: New valve cover gaskets (rockers arms and top of heads were spotless). New E-3 plugs, wires, cap rotor, Cardone distributor, remanufactured quadrajet and air cleaner. Included in the sale is a Pertronix electronic points replacement. The car was driven to the Woodward Dream Cruise and approx.1300 miles this summer. BODY: The paint is nice for an older repaint. All the chrome and molding are believed to be original,( the right rocker molding has a scrape that could be repaired if you want original or a new one is $84.00, I have new molding clips for the right rocker molding as well . The reserve price is set very low for a GTO of this caliber.
