Vehicle Detail

The MGB was sold originally in California and the owners later moved to Colorado. It was the wife's “fun” car so the husband was pretty meticulous with the maintenance of the car. In 1999, his wife passed away and the car held too many memories. The husband was originally from North Dakota so he brought the car back and parked it in a barn on the family farm. It sat there until the Fall of 2017 when we purchased it. When we pulled it from the barn, it was obvious that we were going to have to rehabilitate the car as it had many small, age related problems. Nothing major but a lot of little things as a result of it sitting for 18 years. After going through our assessment, we have replaced the following parts: Interior/Body door seals; door panels; pedal pads; sun visors & retainer clips; wiper blades; bonnet insulation; horns; turn signal switch; Ignition switch; speakers; chrome bumper overriders versus rubber blocks; convertible top (will need to be installed when it warms up) Engine spark plugs; spark plug wires; distributor cap; rotor; air pump hoses; Carb needles & seats; rubber fuel lines Brakes master cylinder; rear brake cylinders; rubber hoses (fronts & rear) Clutch master cylinder; slave cylinder; rubber hose Suspension/Steering limiting straps; rod ends; gaiters Cooling radiator cap; heater hoses; upper & lower radiator hoses In addition, we had a local detail shop cut and buff the paint on the car. This is the last year of the steel bumper versions and is in above average condition for its age. 75K miles. 90% tires. It also still has all of the stock emission control system in place. On the down side, there are some problems: one small area of rust on the passenger side forward of the rear wheel. It appears to be fairly minor but we have elected to leave it alone because trying to match the old paint could be a significant problem for us. Shown in the last picture. the windshield will need to be replaced in most states. There is a top to bottom crack on the passenger side to the right of the line of sight. In North Dakota, we do not need to replace a windshield if the driver's vision is not obstructed. If the next owner is looking for a show quality car, he/she will want to replace the upholstery. As it sits, the drivers side seat has tears but not to the point of making it unusable. If you have any questions please just message thru Ebay. There is no reserve and a very reasonable opening price. The car is physically located in Bismarck, ND.
