Vehicle Detail
This is my 3-owner 2009 BMW 535iX Wagon with 94k miles. The wagon was optioned with the M-Sport and Cold Weather packages, all wheel drive, an N54 twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six, and a 6-speed Steptronic automatic transmission. It is finished in Carbonschwarz Metallic with black leather, and has been de-badged and has tinted windows. Recent service includes a new in-tank fuel pump and a fuel pump controller, an oil and filter change along with a new air filter and cabin filter. Clean Carfax report and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name is in hand. Finished in the original Carbonschwartz Metallic (416), this car is a daily drive, so there is some parking lot wear with scratches and dings on three of the doors as well as the hatch. The leading edge of the hood has small stone chips, while the lower edge of the M-sport front bumper exhibits chips as pictured. The 18″ Style 135 wheels wear Michelin Pilot Sport AS3 tires. One of the wheels has some curb rash and clear coat "spidering". The interior is black leather and features the cold weather package which consists of heated front and rear seats, heated steering wheel, and retractable headlamp washers. The M Sport package provides 18-way power seats, an M5 steering wheel and an Anthracite headliner. Options include a heads-up display, navigation, panorama sunroof, rear window shades, and parking sensors. The spring in the driver’s side cup holder is broken (but the cupholder works 'manually' and I never had the factory first aid kit or warning triangle. The sunroof drains are inspected and cleaned biannually and the spare tire well is checked regularly for water intrusion (never been any water). The high-pressure fuel pump was replaced as part of a recall campaign, while the water pump, and all six fuel injectors were replaced under warranty. I also replaced the rear suspension air compressor about 2 year ago. Answers to some other common questions:– I calculate my mileage every fillup and have been steady at 16-17 city and 20-21 mixed since the day I picked it up. I don’t do hardcore highway miles, so I can’t give reliable numbers there. Never noticed any power or mileage drops which is what I was told are the indicators for walnut blasting, so the head/valves haven’t been blasted.– Car has never been chipped as far as I can tell. I have enough fun with it stock.– I do my own oil and filter changes every 7500 miles including cabin filters. I have service records for the warranty work done under my ownership, and I have seen the BMW records on a service rep’s computer, but they wouldn’t print them out for me. Warranty work under my ownership includes the fuel injectors and water pump. I have also had the rear suspension air compressor replaced out of warranty.– I had to top up the rear hatch hydraulic fluid once about 2.5 years ago using Royco 756. It has worked perfectly ever since.– I have had Prince Lionheart seat savers under and behind both car seats and Brica seatback kick protectors since day one. All seats and seatbacks are in mint condition.– Car was originally a California car, then went to Texas, I bought it when I lived in Georgia, and has been in Florida since. Never a salt-belt car.– HPFP was replaced prior to my ownership under warranty. I don’t recall the mileage, but I have never had an issue.– The rear cargo cover started rattling a couple months ago. I fixed it with a small strip of black adhesive foam insulation. It blends in, is hidden, and it fixed the rattle, but thought I would mention it.– I replaced the brake fluid back in July with a Motive. No debris or visible water in the old fluid.*Coolant and power steering fluids are due to be flushed. Haven’t had time for that.– It has a spare tire, jack, and associated tools. No runflats as long as I’ve owned it.– Sunroof drains are cleared by me twice a year. Never any water in the spare tire well.– I use Waze, so the GPS maps are a few years old. I live in a place that doesn’t change much, so it was never a problem for me.– It probably needs a good 3-stage paint detail.– I have 2 original key fobs plus the original “emergency” plastic key in another key fob. Car is for sale locally, as such Seller reserves right to end auction early.
