I'm selling a few CT70's again starting with this 1969 Silver Tag in Candy Ruby Red. This is an original Tucson, Arizona bike. It has a clear Arizona title ready to be transferred to the new owner. This bike is special because it is an early production Silver Tag built in late 1969. There are many unique parts that were used on these early production bikes and this one has them all. The speedo high/low indicator, thin handlebar knobs, horn, exhaust, seat tool kit, frame, front fender, big “8” hardware, etc. It is hard to find a Silver Tag that does not have a rusted out exhaust and a bent seat pan. This bike is straight and it’s life in dry Arizona preserved all these parts. The metal surfaces are in excellent shape. There is no pitting on the chrome or discoloration. It runs and rides. It shifts well and does not smoke. It has an aftermarket (CHP) carb installed and the original silver tag carburetor is included and pictured. I have left it the way I found it for the new owner to decide if it will be restored or tuned up further as a rider. The previous owner had a rack installed and drilled a few small holes in the frame as mount points. They are easily filled if the bike were to be painted and hard to notice if left as a rider. My reserve price reflects this. The lights and horn work. The numbers show the engine is original to the bike and they are visible in the pictures. The gold bike was likely built the same week as this red one and is pictured in the album here at the end. It is in nearly identical condition.
