1956 CORVETTE PROJECT CAR I have owned this car for 36 years. I was restoring it to factory show room condition. Frame was dismantled and all parts sandblasted and painted semi-gloss black, Frame was not rusted or pitted. All parts were replaced as needed. Brakes rebuilt-suspension rebuilt and new brake lines. The body is very nice but it had several coats of old paint on it, so I stripped all the old paint and primer including the door jams, door edges, and trunk as well as the main body. The body needed very little work, it is ready for block sanding. My plans were to completely restore it. Now most of the interest in the car is to resto-mod it so I am selling it as seen in photos. without the many boxes of new and restored parts. This will keep the price down for resto-moders, also the hard top will not be in this auction for the same reason! The new and restored parts will be offered to the new owner if they want them. I have lots of extra parts from a second 1957 corvette car I am parted out. Included with this car is a trunk load of original parts. I also have a running 265 motor that needs work that is included with this auction. The chrome 14" rims that are shown on the car have been taken off and rollers put on. If new owner wants to restore this car I have 99% of the reconditioned parts to do that and they will be offered to the new owner (if wanted) after the sale. The 57 parts car parts will also be offered but not sold until this sale is completed. I have put many hours into this car and have collected many boxes of parts. I have many new and reconditioned parts that will be offered to the new owner after this sale if wanted. I HAD LISTED THIS CAR TWO WEEKS AGO AND HAD 193 EMAILS ON IT. I WAS NOT ABLE TO GET TO ALL OF THEM AND THEN THE COMPUTER MEMORY GOT FULL AND I LOST A LOT OF THEM. MOST WANTED TO CUSTOMIZE OR RESTO-MOD THE CAR. MY PLANES WERE TO RESTORE IT, IT IS STOCK NOW.
