I am helping my mother-in-law and father-in-law sell their 1983 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ-40. ****Please note that I had to cancel the original auction on 12/11/17 after I recently had some bidders request that I take some pictures of the floor pans inside the cabin. On the evening of 12/11/17, my mother-in-law drove the FJ-40 to my house and into my garage and we pulled up the large, original factory rubber mat that covers the entire floor area and transmission tunnel, along with the standard floor mats that were on top of the factory rubber mat and found a piece of carpet covering the floor pan. Once I rolled up the carpet, we discovered some significant rust on the driver's side floor pan. The passenger's side looks to be much more solid, but still has some rust. The new pictures of the floor pans, plus the other pictures of the undercarriage and wheel wells that I had e-mailed to a number of interested bidders on the original auction can be FOUND BELOW IN THE PHOTO GALLERY that I added to this second listing.**** This is a 2-owner vehicle that my in-laws have owned since 1987. The vehicle has a brand new battery and muffler. The tires are in good condition and are approximately 1 year old (please see the second to last picture showing tire tread in the photos above). This 1983 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ-40 is in original condition with with its original factory paint, engine, transmission and interior. As shown in the pictures in both the main Photos and the additional photos posted in the Photo Gallery at the bottom of the Description area, there are a number of rust areas on the outside of body and inside including both floor pans (much more so in the driver's side floor pan) and in the rear wheel wells where it has rusted through in some spots and can be seen in the pictures of the rear interior area. However, the frame and most of the undercarriage look to be fairly solid. Also as shown in the pictures, there are rips and tears in the upholstery, particularly the bottom part of the driver's seat. The radio does not work. The engine runs well with no smoke. The vehicle passed the State of Colorado Emissions test on November 1, 2017.
