This is a solid 1981 Special Edition Trans Am that I bought about 4 years ago with the intention of a complete restoration, but it's been basically sitting in the garage for the last 3 years. I purchased a history report from PHS and it is an original Y84 Special Edition Trans Am. This car originally came with a 301 Turbo but now has a Pontiac 455 in it with a TCI-built Turbo 350 transmission. I have driven it once over a year ago when I had insurance on it and it is fast, it broke the tires loose easily from a 25 mph roll. I don't know the history of the motor, but I can see that it has a Holley carb, Edelbrock intake and headers. It also is equipped with the WS6 4-wheel disc suspension package. I do have a newly built 301 turbo engine that is not included in the auction, but available separately if desired. The odometer shows a little over 64K miles, but the speedo isn't working so I can't represent it as accurate mileage. All of the other gauges are functional.
