Vehicle Detail

1969 Chevelle SS 396. According to DMV, Chevelle has been in Texas since the 70's with only 3 owners. Last owner for 25 years. Car is one of the cleanest Chevelle's I have seen. Body: Floors, quarters, trunk, doors, fenders, hood are rust free. Passengers quarter has a small spot behind the rear wheel well. Vinyl top has some bubbling toward the rear but previous owner said it was like that after they got it done. It's not crunchy so it may be stuff under there but I don't know for sure, rest of top looks great. All the metal on this car looks original, for sure doors back and hood and front end. Pass fender may have been replaced when car was restored in the late 80's but I'm not sure. Drivetrain: Car was restored in the late 80's and the original engine was swapped for a 350 because it got better gas mileage(remember it was the 80's). Still has big block frame mounts. Car runs good and engine seems sound. Still retains it's original 12 bolt rear end. Interior: Looks good. Top of back seat has heat tears as the back seat, rear panels and headliner are original to the car. Front seats are nice, dash is very nice. Lights, turn signals, horn are in working order. Fuel gauge does not work. Basically this car just really needs painted and if you wanted to put a big block back in it. I know in 69 it is hard to tell without documentation but this car has no patch panels on it. The rear quarters have never had Malibu emblems on them as there are no holes covered up. Trunk and quarters still have original factory splatter paint on them, trunk just has surface rust, nothing to fix. Rear panel has never been jacked with. Build sheet could still be in the car somewhere but that mission is for the next owner. With the starting price for a running driving 95% rust free 69 Chevelle you really can't go wrong. There is no doubt in my mind this is the real deal but if you don't believe it bid accordingly. Thanks for looking,On Dec-09-17 at 20:02:03 PST, seller added the following information: Sorry vin is blurry. Tried to get a better picture but I used them all up. Vin on dash matches vin on title. Title is also clear and ready to be transferred. On Dec-10-17 at 08:05:56 PST, seller added the following information: I've been asked by several people to check under the rockers for screw holes that would have held Malibu trim pieces. There are NO holes under either rocker and there never have been any. Can't add anymore pictures but trim tag reads: 755 interior, 69b color, 02B date. Trunk drop downs are perfect and rust free.On Dec-10-17 at 09:50:51 PST, seller added the following information: I've had a few people say it looks like the driver quarter has holes covered up inside the trunk area. Went in there with a screw driver to scrape away some of the factory stuff. There is a couple of raised areas but there are no worm holes. Looks like it could have been where they would know to drill the holes for the Malibu emblems. Raised area is not welded either. Not sure what this means but want everyone to know.On Dec-11-17 at 06:38:23 PST, seller added the following information: Chevelle has factory power disc brakes.
