1976 Cadillac Sedan DeVille Claret Red AS-IS New Parts Classic Leather CHEAP!SUMMARY: Car was being used as a daily driver around queens, hasn't been on the highway recently. The car is a classic, last of the full size Cadillacs before they downsized with a 500 cubic inch engine and almost 21' long. It has a lot of the parts are original, especially interior and a lot of the exterior. Main issue is that lately there has been times where it has trouble shifting out of 1st and into 2nd gear. It has been driving and shifting fine some days and harder to shift on other days, I am not able to narrow down the inconsistencies as the fluids are all normal (red transmission and good engine oil) with no leaks present. I put a lot of time and money into getting the car up to speed (see below) but now I am moving and can't invest anymore into it. I really hate to part with it but I can't devote the time and money anymore. It's a beautiful car I get compliments everytime I drive. Wont take much to get it perfect if you know cars. ***Sold AS-IS, you will need to determine how to transport or drive to destination.***MECHANICAL: Good- Strong engine, was driving great as daily driver until above issue. I got it up to speed by taking it to my mechanic bit by bit. It has a lot of new parts in the two months: new right front tire front and rear brakes recalibrated carburetor & new accelerator pumpnew resonator*new exhaust pipe new front windshield*Resonator is universal it's not as quiet as original stock one, fyi. Resonator gives a slight popping in Park, which the mechanic that installed said is perfectly normal. On the original resonator there was no noises, so it is definitely attributed to the aftermarket one. Also last couple of years the starter and master brake cylinder was replaced. Rear Body fillers on tail lights and rear under the trunk lid were replaced/painted. Other- It's a carb model not fuel injected so it needs a few pumps of gas to startup. This is normal for this year and model. Con- AC unit, radio antenna and radio needs attention. Right passenger side door electronic unit may need attention.COSMETIC: Car is in nice condition for its age, by no means a show car but is beautiful. Overall very nice conditions. Most of the paint is in good shape and has a shine. A few spots have some imperfections (uneven paint, scratch) on the rear quarter panels (left side in particular) and trunk (slight fade/2 scratches) parts of the car. Front chrome has a minor dent, but it doesn't take away from looks. Chrome is pretty much rust free. See pics for some detail on these things, but overall the exterior is in good condition. The trims are still intact. I have a little left over touch paint if you want it. Won’t take much to make the car from nice cosmetic to amazing cosmetically. No major rust and exterior will look like new with some professional attention. Still, compared to many Caddy's I have seen in person or on Craigslist this is in better shape than most. Interior is in great condition, no big leather rips or marks, dash intact and original but there is a crack in dash (pictured). Interior is clean looking with most color unfaded and intact for the age. Vinyl top is in great shape, with no rips or tear or cracks. Interior ceiling headliner is perfect. Windows and seats work. Steering wheel missing a little faux wood trim. Interior is great for a non-show type classic. MODEL:Specs- Car is Claret Red exterior color and Red interior leather. Shows 62k on odometer, title shows EXEMPT mileage status due to age of car. This is the last year of the full size Cadillacs. 500 cubic inch engine/4 barrel carb and it is the last model with pillar-less windows. Car is almost 21' long. You will get looks, questions and cash/trade offers (never serious) every time you drive. I have tried to detail as many knowns as I can on the car, however with the age of the car I cannot guarantee the car is free from other imperfections. Car is being sold in as-is condition.
