This 1955 Cadillac has had an earlier extensive disassembly. Most of the original nuts and bolts have been removed during its restoration, therefore, to restore it there are no knuckle busting wrenching to do on this car. All exsisting sheetmetal and trim has been assembled on the car to present to you its present condition. The engine and 4 speed trans are original and in working condition. As of now the car is drivable but has no working brake lights. The carb was rebuilt, gas tank cleaned and coated, power brake system rebuilt, new under dashboard wiring has been installed and comes with many quality rubber replacement parts. As to the chrome. Many large parts have been rechromed as well as some trim, although some parts need to be redone as a poor rechrome was done. This car needs replacement trim fasteners as the old ones were too bad to reuse. As far as rust, there are spots on the floorboards and trunk that need to be addressed and the car comes with a replacement floorpan for the right passenger front area and the passenger side inner and outer rockers and rear wheel area need replacement. Extensive metal replacement work was done to the driver side rockers and outer driver side rear wheel area and a rust free outer rear under the trunk lid metal replacement panel is tacked in. I've tried to be as accurate in this description as I can in this "work in progress" as I can. I no longer have the ability to complete this project so I have to leave it to someone else.
