Vehicle Detail

2001 HONDA RANCHER ES 350 ATV - Barn Find Just 57 miles on odometer - MUST SEE Actually, I found it in a garage. The former owner used it primarily to go down his long driveway to collect his mail. His neighbor (must have been one of the Joneses) bought a larger ATV than this 350, so to keep up, he bought an even larger ATV than his neighbor, and this Rancher sat in his garage for a little over five years before I discovered it. I pushed it out of his garage, and washed it to remove the spider webs and dust. I drained the fuel tank and cleaned out the carburetor. After installing a new battery, it started right up. It idled smoothly, but faltered a 20-25% throttle range. Above the 25% throttle point it ran fine. I acquired a rebuild kit, and installed three new jets and a new idle air screw, and now the engine runs like new. When I went in to rebuild the carburetor, I noticed some new sludge in the float bowl, so before I put the carb back on, I removed the fuel tank and flushed it out with clean gasoline three times, it should be clean now. I blasted around the yard, shifted through all gears, the engine has full power. Brakes work fine, all lights are operational. Even the clock on the instrument panel keeps good time. This is the electronic shift model, no left hand clutch lever; the operator just pushes either the upshift or the downshift button with the left-hand-thumb, and the Rancher takes care of the shifting. The former owner also had one new oil filter. I have that now. I can change the oil and filter before delivery to you for a minor charge, lets say $7.50. The oil in the engine is clean clean clean, but it is at least five years old. If I were keeping this Rancher, I would change it. Now, the ATV is all original, everything is 14 years old. The tires to not show any wear, and have no signs of sidewall cracking, but it is only a matter of time before you will want to replace the rubber. The choke cable is a little stiff, but moves through its full range. Some of the body panels show a very slight fading and there is a very slight amount of rust on the exhaust pipe, so you will not be able to fool your friends that this is a brand new ATV, but you can show them the odometer to make them jealous. In a couple of days, I will be putting up an auction for one alloy Rancher rim, in case it interests you. I can email hi-res pictures of any component you want to see. Just let me know. I can deliver the Rancher anywhere along the triangle of Boston, MA to St. Johnsbury, VT to New York City, since I travel these roads often. The mileage charge would be $0.25 per mile that I deviate from my normal route. If you live close Rt 93 or Rt 91 or Rt 95 and we are able to make a delivery time that fits into my schedule, the delivery charge will be minimal. You can also pick it up in any of the three cities mentioned on a much wider time range, since I spend at least a day in each when I am traveling. If you need this shipped, I can drop it off at a freight depot or work with your shipping company to satisfy their needs, but I will not initiate the freight shipping process.
