Vehicle Detail
Hi,this auction is for a 1976 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The car was originally white, with a dark brown interior. The engine, transmission, and rear end are original . The engine runs excellent and passes California smog with no problems.Carburetor was just rebuilt and works perfect.Power steering unit rebuilt . New Radiator ,new ball joints and new shocks.Weatherstripping has been replaced on the front and back of side windows. The frame is a rust free California frame in great condition, especially in front of rear tires where rust can be a major problem on C3 Vettes. The body is in great condition, and has never been in an accident. Rear bumper was replaced. The Vette needs a new front bumper and paint job.Bird cage is in great shape,as expected from a California car. Vette has the original T-Tops, there just not on the car when pictures were taken . Interior needs original seats,it now has ugly aftermarket seats. The door panels are not installed, they are deluxe panels and are in good condition and included with sale. The Vette needs new carpeting . All glass seems to be original and in good condition.Headlights perform pefectly.Heater and defrost work. AC does not work, missing compressor. Doesn`t have original radio. Power windows work,Tilt tele works fine .The Vette has new tires and brakes. Also have all trim rings and center caps.I`m selling this car for my neighbor Tim. He believes his Uncle was the original owner and Tim aquired the car in 2008. I`ve owned 7 Vettes in the last 30 + years and have used them all as daily drivers. I`m being as honest as I could with description and will answer any questions. If I owned this car I would buy a new front bumper and paint the car white, like it originally was. I`d buy a used pair of seats and have them recovered in original leather and install carpet kit. Then I would deal with getting all the gauges and air conditioning to function . The starting price is low and there is no reserve . Good Vette for a low price. No Rust, No Hit,and all original drivetrain. My name is Paul ,100 % Feedback and want you to know everything about car before purchasing. The odometer isn`t working.Don`t know the actual mileage, but it doesn`t appear to be a high mileage car at all.The odometer reads 64,000 miles. Thanks,Paul 310 -804-3599. If you want you can talk to Tim also. Vette is loaded with following options : Custom interior trim,Power windows,Air Conditioning,Power brakes,Automatic transmission,Tilt-Telescopic,Power Steering,White Letter tires,AM-FM Radio,Map light, California Emission Test, and Luggage Rack. Originally Classic White with Dark Brown interior. On Oct-30-17 at 06:10:06 PDT, seller added the following information: Tim just informed me that the entire front suspension has all been replaced with new parts !On Oct-30-17 at 18:36:36 PDT, seller added the following information: Just talked to Tim again and he tells me he has over $5,000 in receipts for parts installed on car. Not counting all the mechanical labor he has done. The entire brake system has been replaced also. The car runs cool and doesn`t overheat or smoke. The car also starts perfect and runs great. Battery, starter, alternator ,have all been replaced.Doesn`t burn any oil . Trailing arms are also in good condition. All exterior lights work ,except emergency blinkers. Trying to give buyer all the info I can, just like I want done to me when I buy a car on E-bay. I`ve sold 3 cars on E.bay. My 57 T-Bird,my 69 Vette and my 68 "427" Vette convertible. All customers very happy. I`ve also bought 4 cars on E.bay and very happy with them. My 92 Vette,my 74 Vette, my 72 "LT1" Vette, and my 69 GTO. I still have all 4 of them. Just wanted you to know I`m a REAL car nut ! Thanks,PaulOn Oct-30-17 at 19:12:55 PDT, seller added the following information: Last thing I`m going to say about car before auction ends. I would buy a new front bumper, new carpet kit front and rear, new seat foam and leather seat covers from a reputable business like Willcox Corvette.Get all items when they have their 20 % off sale. Then I would put a beautiful paint job on car -any color you desire or go original with white. Get used seats and radio from E -Bay or any other place where you can get a reasonable price. Then get all the little things working [ Clock,Alarm,Odometer,AC,and any other dash gauges that aren`t functioning .] I also know of a place in California with almost every used Corvette part you will ever need and he`s very fair with prices. Your starting with a rust free, original,California car with original drivetrain. This could be a real beauty with above work completed. I`ll finish off by saying, I just drove the car and it`s really tight, handles well, runs smooth and the only mechanical thing I would fix before driving this car many miles is the brakes are a little tight or stiff, there`s something a little off with them. Not as smooth as I like. Anyone experienced in brakes should fix it fairly easy. Tim also believes the original miles are around 75,000. He`s not sure because odometer isn`t working and his uncle has passed away. It drives like a 75,000 mile car...Paul
