Vehicle Detail

1967 Firebird convertible project. Frame off professional body restoration. Rust free convertible body. New full floor and trunk pans, rear rails, rear quarter panels, inner and outer wheelhouses (all correctly spot welded like the original construction), tail panel, rear deck. 2 GM NOS fenders. Original hood, doors, cowl, valance, dash panel, new and original trunk lid, all other body parts, chrome trim, etc. Comes with rebuilt correct 326 V8 (a service replacement installed by dealer), original 2 speed powerglide transmission, new full interior (front and rear seats, carpet, dash pad, door panels, etc), new and original convertible top frames, top motor and hydraulics, bumpers, new wiring harnesses (front, engine and rear light), rally wheels, original 4 wheel drum brakes, weatherstripping, new convertible top, and other parts. Have clear Florida Title, Pontiac Historical Society documentation, original owners manual, protecto-plate, and some factory service manuals for the car. Original options include power steering, power top, power brakes. The car is currently a rolling chassis stored in my garage. I have started on the reassembly - inside of car and trunk is sealed and painted, window hardware is installed, the heater box and controls are in, front wiring harness is partially in, pedals, steering in. The car is ready for body prep and paint. Car will need a windshield, fuel tank, drivers window (original is scratched up), fuel and brake lines and whatever other upgrades that the new owner wants to install in addition to the parts that are included in this ad. The transmission was in working condition when car was disassembled, but could probably use a rebuild. Engine ran fine when disassembled and is a low mileage rebuild. Rear axle was rebuilt long ago and still works fine but needs paint, front suspension and subframe have not been restored or rebuilt yet. I have owned this car for a long time (I am the third owner and have had it since about 86) and wanted to keep it - so I spent the time and money to restore the body properly... Unfortunately, circumstances require me to offer it up for sale to a good home. The car is a very worthwhile project for a firebird fan who wants to finish out a very nice, collectible, rust free, classic car ("build a bird").
