Vehicle Detail

1953 Ford F100 Short Bed Pickup. I have a clear title in my name and the reserve is well under my truck's value. Several years ago, I bought this 1953 Ford F100 with the goal of restoring it back to original. Knowing that all old cars are only original once, I tried to keep my F100 as original as possible. I had the body and frame particle blasted and then professionally repainted in an original 1953 Ford paint color that I liked. Most of the frame and underneath the cab have been painted black with rust proof paint. It has new wood in the bed and brackets. As the restoration progressed, I purchased a 1953 Ford F250 and a 1953 F100 long bed for parts. I kept the best parts for my truck and sold off some of the spares on Ebay to cover expenses. I initiated the restoration of my 1953 Ford with the goal of driving and keeping it. The truck is together and 90% plus restored. Please check my Ebay feedback score. Why do I want to sell it my 1953 Ford F100? In 1962 my wife and I owned a 1959 Peerless GT. I've included a photo of my wife and the Peerless taken in 1963. As a life long car nut, I have often looked backed, hoping to find another Peerless GT. There were only 325 of them manufactured and they are difficult to find. A few months ago, I found a 1959 Peerless in Hannibal, MO. At 75 years of age, my wife and I took a "geriatric roady" and drove 1200 miles to purchase the 1959 Peerless GT. The silver/blue stripe Peerless in now in my garage. I can't afford to restore both the Peerless and 1953 Ford F100. At my age, I hope to live long enough to complete the Peerless restoration and repeat our early trips. Back to my 1953 Ford F100. I will outline the work done and the additional work needed: 1. The truck is very complete. and comes with numerous spare parts. 2. The body work is completed and professionally painted and new windshield seals installed. 3. The original seat is newly reupholstered and installed. 4. The good running, original flathead V8, is installed along with the original transmission, but it needs to be wired. 5. It has a balanced driveshaft, and new U-joints. 6. It has new tires (zero miles) and new hubcaps. 7. Newly re-chromed bumpers and bumper brackets. 8. To be installed A. New door handles, B. New door window installation kit with the glass and mechanisms. C. New door handles. D. New brake master cylinder and a complete set of new brake lines. E. Two instrument panels and original wiring harnesses, and a new wiring wiring harness with a large laminated wiring diagram. 9. New taillights and brackets are installed. I will securely pack the spare parts in the truck. It has the original under-bed spare tire bracket, two original spare tire rims, and a Die cast model with the same paint scheme. It is too much to cover everything. I will gladly answer any questions you have. Receipts and manuals go with the car. My phone number is (801) 745-5835. If you have less than 5 positive feedbacks on Ebay please call or message me before bidding. I will gladly help the shipper you select in shipping the truck anywhere in the world. Please look closely at all of the photos. I will keep the truck garaged for a reasonable time period until transport is arranged.
