If you've never ridden one of these amazing bikes, you're doing yourself an injustice. Get out to your local BMW dealer and check one out as it will truly amaze you with its speed, agility and extreme comfort. It's like the perfect amalgamation of a very fast 160HP sport bike but with the comfort and conveniences of a nice Goldwing. This bike rides nothing like its predecessor the K1200LT. My elderly professional friend & neighbor purchased this bike new for $26,000 in 2012 and has been the sole owner since then. He rode the bike for a few months and realized it was a little too much for him so he parked it in his garage for the next 4.5 years until now. He dropped the bike a couple of times (one because he didn't have the kickstand securely down & the other when he pulling into a parking space and his passenger shifted weight causing him to drop it). He is entering a 24hr care facility so it has been titled in my name as of 9/29 to sell. After sitting for over 4 years with old fuel in it, it needed a new fuel pump (which was replaced with an upgraded model). Fuel was drained/replaced with high octane along with a can of Royal Purple fuel system cleaner and the bike runs like new. Bike has original tires on it which look perfect to me and no cracking anywhere. Brakes are like new. After a year, the battery was dead so it went to BMW for a new one along with an oil change at 1000 miles (oil literally looks gold & new to me). If a few scuffs/abrasions bother you, then this is not the bike for you. I contemplated getting some factory-match touch-up paint to address to scuffs on it but I asked myself how I would like to purchase the bike and I thought it make more sense to see EXACTLY the condition of the bike rather than putting lipstick on it. If you want this bike to be perfect, I would recommend getting a quart of factory-match paint (about $100) and go have the scuffed panels sprayed professionally so that it's back to new. I called BMW and there are 2 open recalls (free of charge) that need to be performed on the bike (one is a software update & the other has to do with the multifunction wheel even though it works fine). This bike is loaded with all the goodies (3 performance settings along with 3 comfort settings, heated grips/seat, etc.) minus GPS which several models will fit in the existing cavity.
