1987 Mercedes 420 SL Convertible. This is a very rare, very collectible find. For starters it is a 30 year old Female owned one owner vehicle. She loved it dearly it's entire life. She has passed so it is time for a new owner to care for it now. It has been garage kept and has extensive maintenance records. It is an original German car bought in Germany. The US version is a 560 SL not a 420 SL. It was shipped to the US by the original owner and outfitted to US specs hence the 3rd brake light. This car has been a driver as it has 169,650 miles. You would never know it by driving it though. It is very smooth and tight just as you would expect from a fine German vehicle. It is not a perfect show car although the condition is amazing. The hood has a minor clearcoat issue, the AC is not blowing cold, the dash has some cracks and I'm told the soft top could use replaced although I have not removed the hard top and do not plan to do so.
