Vehicle Detail
Selling my 1973 Triumph 750 Tiger. No reserve! I have owned this bike on and off for 15 years or more riding it in the Pacific North West, Canada, before taking it back to the UK for a year (note the UK tax disc from 2003!), bringing it back to the mid west, later selling it and eventually buying it. It now has the look of the earlier '60s Triumphs thanks to the new two tone paint and fibre glass side covers but benefits from the disc front brake and 5 speed transmission that were a first on the '73 bikes. The bike now has a rebuilt engine and powder coated frame. The rebuild included the following new parts, much of which was bought from JRC Eng in California:New rebore and plus .20 pistons and Hastings ringsNew big end and main bearingsNew upgraded 4 port oil pumpNew gear box bearings and clutch plates & primary chainNew valves and guidesNew Megacycle 510 cycle street cams and R type followersNew seals and gaskets throughoutNew (English) cloth covered wiring harnessNew Amal Premier 930 carbBoyer electronic ignitionNew chain & 21 tooth front sprocket Rebuilt front master cylinder with stainless piston The motor outer cases have been polished and the frame and center stand powder coated and new neck bearings added. The bike has Boyer electronic ignition, with two 6v coils, a larger 4 gal gas tank with support strap was added along with a new seat cover. The original engine was replaced before my time with the bike so engine and frame numbers do not match but the current engine is also a TR7 single carb motor but a '76 vintage with gear shift still on the right hand side. The bike starts first (or second...) kick, has a working charging system, lights, brake light, horn, new K70 rear tire and is ready to go. The bike has side stand which is not currently fitted as I don't have the correct spring but It goes with the bike. It will need new handle bar bushings at some point and I never have had the tachometer or the drive box. In addition to the new wiring harness, I will include a set of repo Lucas turn signals for the new owner to install. I have covered a hundred or so miles so far with the rebuilt engine. So the motor is still breaking in. Runs pretty nicely at 60 mph, I raised the gearing one tooth on the front sprocket. No head or rocker box leaks, no smoke and great compression. Still marks its spot from somewhere underneath but is otherwise oil tightd. The new megacycle cams feel good and strong and are still set to the manufacturers loose break-in setting of 10 thou for in and ex. Sold with a clear KS title. Feel free to ask for more information, the bike can be seen in Wichita KS. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, I can keep the bike for a short time after the auction if shipping needs to be arranged.
