Vehicle Detail
1964.5 Ford Mustang!Great driver-quality car with under 500 miles on completely rebuilt engine and transmission. Extremely rare engine that was only offered in the car for a few months. The car starts up quickly and runs great! Being over 53 years old, this is a wonderful piece of classic automobile history. I purchased the car from a collector that owned it for over 36 years. The inspection sticker is on the original windshield (See picture). I struggled with the decision to sell, but I just purchased a beautiful Cadillac that I have been wanting for years. I do not want both garage bays filled up and my wife wants a car with air conditioning. I work for a university and I live about two miles from the college. I drive the car about twice a week to work. It really turns heads. I always get a thumbs up and I have actually had a man walk up and clap. This car is extremely reliable with its new engine and transmission. Garage kept and very well maintained. It fires right up and gets great gas mileage. It really is a cool car to drive around in. The car looks great, but it does have bodywork. I cannot see the bodywork that has been done to the car, but when I purchased the car, the seller let me know that he had some bodywork done. Again, I cannot see the bodywork that was completed, but I am not a bodywork guy or a collector. The car has a rebuilt engine, rebuilt transmission, rebuilt carburetor, new exhaust, tires, gas tank, sending unit, neutral safety switch, ignition, brakes, battery, shocks, paint, convertible top boot, spare tire and wheel, new and original tire jack etc., carpet, truck mat etc., and steering wheel. No scratches on paint. All lights and turn signals work perfectly. Garage kept. Look at the pictures. This car is beautiful. This is a 1964.5 Mustang. Please see the horn location and it has a generator verses an alternator. I do not care for the color of the top. I was going to replace the top with a black one just like the new boot. However, the man I bought it from installed the top that is on it. I do not care for the installation quality of the top either. They are not expensive to replace. In addition, the driver’s side sun visor has separated. I can have it sewn or you can easily pick up a replacement. In addition to the original jack, I have a console and all of the new components such as the lights, ashtray, and shifter covers. I like the way the interior is now and decided not to reinstall it. It was in there but when I bought the car, it had new carpet and I liked the way the car looks without it. The company that rebuilt the engine and transmission are local and you are welcome to speak with them.Email me for video of car being started up and driven.
