Please read full description before sending messages, I've done my best to describe this car and its issues. Up for auction is a 1998 Audi A6 Avant Wagon with just over 180K miles. The engine in this car runs just great but it has issues otherwise. It has a coolant leak somewhere I can't find but the coolant will last around a week before more needs to be added. That's driving about 10 miles/day or so. It also has an oil leak but it only needs a quart every 2 - 3 weeks or so. Also, the left front tire has a slow leak and has gotten a little extra wear but it could use a complete set of tires anyway. The wiring to the rear hatch has issues, the rear window wiper and defogger do not work and it causes the two yellow triangles to light on the rear fog light switch and rear window defogger switch. It also causes the center brake light to be lit when the brakes are not applied but go out when they are applied. I've just unplugged the center brake light which now causes the "Brake Light" notice to come on. Otherwise, the system shows "OK" when the car is started until brakes are applied. The linkage to open the rear hatch from the outside has stopped working and you have to crawl inside the car to open the rear hatch from the inside latch. The front bumper has a crack on the driver's side corner and the lower grille side pieces do not stay in. The A/C works when it's charged but holds a charge for about a summer season and has not been charged this year. Most everything else works on this car. As I said, the engine just runs great though and is perfectly drivable for in-town trips. This would make a good winter car or a project to fix or take the engine to install into a car with a bad engine. If you have any questions, please send a message.
