We are listing a 2002 Hyundai Accent GS for a friend. He is the original owner. The car now has just under 234,000 miles. He was having problems shifting the car; took it to the shop and the mechanic said the transmission was gone. Our friend asked us to pick it up and the mechanic said the car would not move. We started the car and drove it onto our car trailer. We have been driving it up and down our 1/2 mile long driveway and it has been running and shifting fine. Not sure what the mechanic is talking about. ****FULL DISCLOSURE: We are not sure if the clutch or transmission is good or bad**** The car is missing the A/C belt so we are not sure if A/C works or not.There is an intermittent check engine light. Code PO444 Evaporative Emission System Purge Control Valve Circuit Open Car is a 5 speed manual 4 cylinder and has power locks, power windows, CD player, clothe seats (no tears but shows its age), body is in fair condition. The car passed Virginia State vehicle inspection in March. Car would be good for teaching someone how to drive a manual or use around the farm. Since I am not a mechanic, I have no idea if the car would be suitable as a fixer upper. Car has a clear title. Payment shall be made with Paypal or Cash.
