1997 Z71 Chevy Silverado188,000 Miles5.7 engine Runs Strong However Transmission was Rebuilt about 6 to 8 months ago and after just 3 months of driving, the trany started acting like it was equipped with a stall converter. You have to push steadily on the gas and build it up to 3500 rpms before it would start to move. Once it gets going it shifts into all gears normally without hesitation, even on cruise control. Once you stop completely you again have to build rpms up to get moving again. The old man who built the trans for me is no longer here.. I know nothing about the mechanics of vehicles so Im selling it AS IS WITH NO RETURN. LOW STARTING BID WITH NO RESERVE!! This vehicle is equipped with Electric windows, and door locks, tilt wheel, cruise control, Tow Package, ac which does not work, ext. Cab, 4WD and Kenwood stereo system with removable face. Also has Like New 31 x 10.50 RS Bridgestone Destination tires mounted on after market wheels. The tires cost me over 800.00 and only have about 500 miles on them. Damage to the right side of vehicle occured while driving off road when the truck slid sideways in mud and was up against a tree. When truck moved it scrapped on tree damaging the drivers door which has been replaced with a door from another truck, it just has primer on it. Also damaging the ext cab and part of bed...The bed had the dent pulled out and bondo filled in but has never been finished. Also dents were pulled out of ext cab but has never been finished. See pics for detailed damage.Although the body sustained some damage this truck drives straight down the road and handles well as intended. The Transmission needs some tlc or replacing i dont know.
