Up for sale is a 2005 Audi A6 Quattro with a 3.2L V6 with 213.7K miles. Car is in very nice condition but engine has timing chain issues according to my mechanic (a specialist in foreign cars, especially Audi). Engine runs but not well enough to get any speed out of it, just enough to move it in and out of the garage and in the driveway. Will need to be towed. According to my mechanic, it could be the timing chain guides or it has jumped a tooth or both or it needs to be replaced. Apparently no way of knowing for sure without taking it apart to see. At this point, I just can't afford the cost of repairs so it has to go. Hopefully someone has an engine that runs and just needs a body to put around it or is willing to make the necessary repairs. The only other known issue with the engine is it leaked oil onto the left side exhaust manifold causing it to smoke a bit, possibly the valve cover gasket? Otherwise, the body is in good condition. The issues I can see are a small rust spot on the corner of the passenger door and rocker panel below the passenger door, right rear bumper corner paint is chipped from a bump, the right front bumper corner in front of the tire has gotten pulled out from getting caught on the garage door frame while backing out and the windshield has cracked but not in field of vision, see photos. The interior in nice and clean. Most everything else seems to work. This car has just about everything on it except for navigation and satellite radio: front power seats, front and rear heated seats, sunroof, power windows, Audi MMI that works very well along with Bose sound system that sounds fantastic and 6-disc CD changer in the glove box. Bluetooth connectivity, to use your phone hands free, auto dimming rear view mirror. It had auto-dimming, heated side view mirrors but the liquid that makes the dimming function work leaked out and the mirrors were no longer clear enough to see. I had to put new, non-dimming, non-heated ones in but the wiring is still there and should be functional, it would just need the right mirrors. The air conditioning still blows cold, even with the poor running engine. Leather seats are in very good condition, no tears but the driver's seat has a few small cracks as you can see in the photos. The wheels are aftermarket but the tires still have a good amount of tread left. Also comes with a set of WeatherTech custom fit winter floor mats. Local pick-up only, free.
