Vehicle Detail
This is a 1989 Honda Pacific Coast PC800. Original California bike registered until June 2018. It has been stored inside and ridden very little for 28 years. The motorcycle has 10,200 miles and is in superior condition. It has had a recent full service including original Honda fluids for the coolant, shaft drive oil and motor oil. All filters (air, oil and fuel) were replaced with original OEM Honda parts. The coolant system was flushed with distilled water and coolant replaced with the correct OEM Honda Type 2 coolant. The radiator cap was replaced with the correct OEM Honda part. The brakes and clutch were flushed and bled with DOT 3 fluid. The spark plugs were replaced with the correct NGK plugs. There are two types of tires for these bikes Dunlop and Metzeler. The Metzeler’s are more expensive and this bike has new Metzeler ME880 Marathon’s. The tire valves stems were also replaced with original Honda parts. There was a new Yuasa battery installed along with a new battery tender. 1989 Pacific Coasts have a regulator/rectifier that usually goes bad by 20,000 miles. For that reason, this motorcycle has a new Rick’s Motorsports Regulator which have an excellent reputation. The clutches can slip on these bikes and for that reason this motorcycle has a new clutch. All service records are present since new. See photo. It shows rear tire replaced at 7676 miles. It was replaced again at 9982 miles on 07/04/2017 due to age. You can see in the service records that it was ridden about 2832 miles in the last 21 years. Original owner’s manual and tool kit included. This bike has the taller Hondaline windshield. It has the correct color Hondaline backrest in excellent condition. The seat is in excellent condition. A lot of time and labor was spent finding original Honda OEM parts. This motorcycle should not need service for a very long time. It starts right up and idles very well. There are no flat spots in acceleration that some Pacific Coasts experience. The muffler does not have the “chirp” that some of these bikes have. The body is in good shape with scratches on the side bumpers that have been touched up with Hondaline touch-up paint. There are a few scratches and nicks that do not show up in photos. I have had more attention with Honda Pacific Coasts than any other motorcycle I have owned in 50 years. Because this is a 1989 motorcycle there is no warranty and it is sold As-Is.Buyer is responsible for all shipping cost. I will help you with arrangements if you need it shipped.
