Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on my 1976 Honda CT70. I purchased this bike towards the end of 2016. At the time it required a sympathetic restoration to bring it back to life. Thus, I had it restored by L'Amis Denis, located in Sherbrooke, Quebec (see receipts). Inevitably, they did the best they could but the bike still needed a new carburetor. So I purchased one from Phat MX and installed it. The bike has been gone through by a certified Honda dealership mechanic and has had everything done to it to make it road legal again. The mirrors, speedo, battery, bulbs, etc... are all new or repurposed original parts to conform with Quebec's laws. It is in fact plated for use on roads in Quebec! I presently have it on classic plates and it is registered under my name with the Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ)! I did manage to ride the bike home from the dealership but it struggles and inevitably chokes/dies when going uphill. Regarding mileage, There was no speedo when I purchased the bike so I have no idea. I listed the mileage with the SAAQ at 75000 miles because I didn't need the SAAQ on my back for guessing low. That being said, the engine has been gone through by L'Amis Denis and all is in order with exception of the throttle to fuel delivery (see below). There is a NEW Honda Speedo on the bike that reads 10 kilometers. Actual mileage of this particular bike is unknown. PLEASE READ: Unfortunately despite all the work, time and effort (including a new carburetor) there is still some gremlins to sort out. Specifically, the aforementioned issue. I have had the bike running but when using the throttle it seems that the fuel isn't getting to where it needs to be. Thus, take note that the bike is being listed as a non runner despite the fact that it does/can start up, etc... You will have to arrive to collect the bike with a pick up truck, van or minivan. I actually had it in my Kia Rondo and was even able to pick it up by myself to put it into the back of it! It is light and fun and when I did ride it it was a blast! I have done three write ups about this bike via my blog. You can read about it and see more pictures here: Picture of the bike BEFORE Restoration: Meet Darwin - My 1976 Honda CT70 Monkey Bike! - http://acorbinsayswhat.blogspot.ca/2017/01/meet-darwin-my-1976-honda-ct70-monkey.htmlPictures of The Bike AFTER Restoration: Welcome Home Darwin - My 1976 Honda CT70! http://acorbinsayswhat.blogspot.ca/2017/04/welcome-home-darwin-my-1976-honda-ct70.htmlPictures of Me Installing a Phatmx Carburetor on Darwin, My 1976 Honda CT70!: http://acorbinsayswhat.blogspot.ca/2017/06/installing-phatmx-carburetor-on-darwin.htmlI highly suggest that you go through the above three links.
