I purchased this for my son from an estate sale in early May to take to college summer school in late May. Due to the fact it had been parked since 2001, it needed extensive refreshing to get it road worthy, and is just now ready to drive. Since I had to buy him a different vehicle to get to school, I am selling this extremely low mileage Volvo. This car is now done and has had the following work done since May: Fuel tank removed, drained, cleaned and reinstalled with new fuel pump Complete tune-up including plugs, wires and anything else needed. New water pump and timing belt. New battery. A/C rechargeAll belts and hoses replaced. New brake pads, lines and calipers where needed All new fluids. (oil, transmission, brake fluid, power steering, antifreeze) Four almost new Michelin Tires New Virginia state inspection. The leather interior is in great shape. The paint needs a good buffing but is in good overall condition. Since this car was purchased new in the Richmond area and spent most of its life here, it has no rust issues. These cars have the same reliable engine found in the Volvo 240, and are known to last for ever. This car is just broken in at 82k.The car is available for inspection in the Richmond VA area "PRIOR" to bidding. Serious bidders only please.On Jul-18-17 at 18:02:19 PDT, seller added the following information: I took the Volvo to a body shop in the area today to see if the water marks in the paint would buff out, and they did. All of the top services were buffed and look great. The car has no rust, but has a few chips, areas that need buffing and scratches. It is in excellent condition for a 24 year old car. Answers to a few questions... The car does have a sunroof, but I have not tried to operate it, as I'm concerned it may open and not close.The door panels pockets have no cracks.The dash has no cracks.The right corner light has a small crack.
