I purchased this truck in December of 2012. I had the truck brought up from Tennessee to Pennsylvania. 2 years in I started getting blowback and found that the rings were going bad. The gentlemen at Palmer Automotive (they build race engines) did a top to bottom rebuild on the engine. I had $6000.00 into that rebuild (receipts included in photos). Dave (machinist) and Mark (mechanic) told me that if I ever sell this truck they would be glad to discuss the rebuild with a potential buyer. The truck is almost 40 years old and is a great example of a classic truck. The engine and four wheel drive work flawlessly. AC is good too. There is some surface rust forming on the bumpers and a couple of cracks in the paint on the tailgate. The paint is bubbling a little around the running lights. The install of the stereo (not done by me) was poorly executed and sloppy, as well as the poor job of the speaker wire that I photographed. The stereo works but is not good. I was laid off from a major telecommunications company 3 years ago and put myself through school again. The truck was bought as a toy when things were great. I just graduated and realized that as much as I love the truck, the practical thing to do is to sell it and use the money to pay off my college debt. Please feel to contact me with any questions.
