Vehicle Detail

1976 Mustang Cobra II 302 with 4 speed and traction-Lok rear all original with only 3,281 original verified miles plus original paperwork...Hello everyone, this is a listing for a 1976 Mustang Cobra II. This isn't your average Cobra II, this is a extremely well kept 100% survivor that is all original with only 3,281 original miles and is ready to go into a classic car collection to make their Mustang collection complete. I have owned many super low mile all original cars in the past and do love survivors the best. They are only all original once and that is what makes them special. This is a 2 owner car from new. I know the entire history on this car from day 1 till today. I know of the 1st owner and the 2nd owner is a close friend of mine. Also I work out of the dealership where it was bought new in 1976. The dealership was Kuzo Brothers Ford Mercury in Mt. Carmel, Pa. The dealership closed in the 90's but the building is still there. The original owners are still alive, in their 80's but alive and well. The one owner (Jack Kuzo) is the salesman that sold the car new and is on the original paperwork. I am friends with him and I also see him every morning during the week as he stops by the old dealership. He remembers the car very well when he sold it. The car did not go more than 5 miles from the dealership and now is back at the original dealership it was sold at.Now before I get to into the description if anyone has any questions please feel free to call me directly at 717-675-4179. I would be happy to answer any questions you might have or if you would like to make a reasonable offer, I could change the buy it now price if we agree on another reasonable price. Also I have about 150 plus full page pictures of the car below in the listing please take your time to view them.I have so much original paperwork on the car. Recall paperwork for tires, original receipts, 2 dealer invoices, down payment receipt, full payment receipt, rust protection paperwork, owners manual dealer holder and pouch, owners manuals, warranty card and Marti report. The car still has the Kuzo Brothers dealer plates still on it.The car is 100% all original with the exception of the battery, rear hatch shocks, but still have the originals , and the 5 Firestone tires. The car came with Firestone tires but they were recalled by Firestone. I have all the original recall paperwork below and receipt for the 5 tires in the pictures below. Anyway the tires were recalled in 1979 for safety reasons. The tires were replaced by Firestone with 5 Firestone tires that matched the originals. The car looks and smells new. The paint is original and is excellent, factory paint defects and all. It shines very nice and is very smooth to the touch. It was always garage kept and covered from day 1 till now. I buffed the car for the 1st time ever just before the pictures. The car was undercoated at the dealership but they took very good car to tape everything but the floor pans and the brakes lines so it wouldn't get anywhere but the floor area where it was intended. The car was also rustproofed. Originally the 1st owner thought he would drive it more but really didn't need the undercoating or rustproofing either because the car was never out in winter or even the rain since new.The white paint with blue stripes is the same color Cobra II as the "Charlie's Angels" Cobra II driven in the series in 1976 by Farrah Fawcett. The show started in 1976 and she and the car was only on the series full time for 1 year. There are iconic pictures of the her sitting on the car all over the internet. The interior is 100% perfect with NO issues at all. It looks brand new and smells new also even though it is 41 years old. NO cracks, fades, scratches or tears; just perfect. I took pictures of every angle in the interior to show how untouched and still new that it is. I took pictures of up underneath the dash and it is incredible the condition in perfect and looks brand new everywhere. Every piece of weather-strip is soft and pliable and looks new but it is from 1976.The engine compartment is also super clean and has all the factory tags, paint stamps and chalk marks still present. The paint on the air cleaner, valve covers, master cylinder, booster, etc. still looks like it did in 1976. Just extremely well kept. The engine starts right up and idles very smooth with NO oil leaks. I did take the top of the original carburetor off but did not take it off the car entirely and I cleaned it out and put a new accelerator pump on and changed some seals/gaskets. I also cleaned out the gas tank and cleaned the fuel sending unit and yes it does work. I wanted to make sure no old tarnished gas was on bottom off tank or in the lines and would go through into the carb so this is why I cleaned it before adding the new gas. I checked all the plugs and they looked very good and put them back in.I drove the car when I took the pictures and everything works as it should. All the lights, courtesy lights, horns, gauges, warning lights, Key buzzer, etc. Everything works. Its no speed machine because of all the government regulations on HP in those years but it is the best you could in 1976 in a Mustang being a 302 V8 and it has a HD factory 4 speed manual transmission and to top it off and optional 3:00 axle rations with a Traction-Lok rear. The car also was ordered with power steering and power disc brakes and came with some other nice options. Please look at the original invoices and Marti report. The underside of the car and all the suspension is in very good condition. A lot of suspension and some other parts had no paint on to protect them but still even though bare metal it still looks very clean underneath. You can still see a lot of factory paint dabs and chalk marks present everywhere. The original exhaust and brackets still look very good. Even the driveshaft which was always just bare metal with the paint circles applied at the factory always rusted fast but you can see the circle paint marks on it and there are some places where you can still see shiny bare metal. You can see this in the pictures below. The pictures will speak for themselves. So lets get to the 150 detailed pictures. All 5 original tires including spare were recalled from Firestone these are the replacement tires put on in 1979 under the recall by Firestone. I have all the original recall paperwork as well as the full receipt showing the work done in 1979. The tires are excellent with NO cracking or dry rot. The wheels are also in mint original condition... Now lets get to the perfect original interior... Look at the passenger seat catch when the seat is folded forward, it still has its original Gold anodized finish... Even the lower back seat hold down bolts have the original Gold anodized finish on them... This is the passenger side rear seat belt. Look at the condition of the original tags, absolutely mint condition... Here is the drivers side rear seat belt tag... Drivers side seat catch when seat is folded forward, perfect original Gold anodized... Perfect finish on the unused ashtray and cigarette lighter... Original never taken off starting operation manual on drivers side sun visor... Original 1976 Keychain from Kuzo Brother Ford where car was bought new... Only 3,281 original miles on the odometer... Factory tachometer work perfectly... Rare factory AM/8-Track Stereo works perfectly... Perfect condition dash pad... Look at the beautiful perfect condition under the dash... All the original weather-stripping is soft and pliable with NO cracks or chips... at all... Oil change label from 1992 showing only 3,196 miles... Now to the engine compartment. Look at the bright colors on the air cleaner and valve cover with all original decals still present. Also look at the paint stamps and chalk marks on everything... The car still retains its original alternator, starter, all hoses and fan belts... Here is the original Carburetor with original tag. Look at the Gold anodized color still on the entire carb. I did open up the carb and clean it carefully and put in a new accelerator pump and seals/gaskets to make sure there is no issues... This is a original tag still on the car near the radiator when Kuzo brothers checked the coolant before the 1st owner picked up the car... Here shows the factory Buck tag... The car still retains its original master cylinder and power booster. Ford painted the master cylinders black along with the cap. It is untouched from new... Now lets go underneath the car... Here is the original tag on the rear showing the axle codes... Here is the original fuel sending unit. It works correctly. I took it out cleaned it and reinstalled it. I also cleaned out the gas tank and fuel lines to make sure there would be no issues with dirt or old gas in the lines... Here you can see the factory paint stripes on the driveshaft that are put on at the factory. The driveshaft is very clean as it was bare metal with no paint only the paint stripes on it. So these rust fast just from moisture in the air. You canh still see bare steel that has no surface rust on it yet... Here are a couple pictures showing the factory paint daps on the wheels... Now lets get to the original Paperwork from the dealer... Here is the original printed out invoice from Kuzo Brothers... Here is the back of the printed out invoice... Here is the hand written invoice from Kuzo Brothers... Here is the $100 deposit receipt put down on the car... Here is the receipt for the payment of the car... Here is the temporary registration for the car from Pa Dept. of transportation... Here is the rustproofing receipt... Here is the rustproofing book/manual... Here is the recall letter from Firestone for the tires... Here is the receipt for the 5 replaced Firestone tires from the recall in July 1979... Here is the tire chart from Ford that was given in the glove box from new... Here is the original plastic holder from the dealer to hold the owners manual... Here is the owners manual packet holder from the Kuzo Brothers Ford with owners name and address filled out... Owners manual... Owners manual for AM/8-track... Warranty card from Ford given to owner at dealer... Deluxe Marti report for car... Lastly here are a couple close up body pictures... I hope everyone enjoyed all the detailed pictures of the 76 Cobra II. It is a very good survivor example with super low miles from new and, of course, tons of documentation. This was well kept from day 1. They are only original once and this is a prime example of the 1st year for the Cobra II. It takes about 4 hours to put a auction like this on EBay but it is the only way to show every aspect of the car inside and out. I have owned a lot of very low mileage cars through the years and have sold some here on EBay. Please take a look at my perfect 100% feedback. I take the time to go over everything but in case I missed something or you would like to ask any questions please feel free to call me directly at 717-675-4179. I would be happy to answer any questions you have. Thanks for taking the time to view this auction and have a great day...
