Vehicle Detail

This item is listed for sale as part of an Estate. I am the personal representative of the Estate and have been authorized by the Court to sell this item. The Good: Most of the body panels appear to be in good condition. The interior doesn't look bad.The top appears to be in good shape. The rims appear to be in good shape. With a bath, this paint should be gorgeous. At one point in time, this was an incredibly fast Corvette. It looks fast just sitting in your driveway. The Bad: This car has not run in close to 3 years. It has been sitting outside during that time. There is little compression showing on all 8 cylinders. The ECM may or may not be shot. I can pull codes on it and run the Corvette self diagnostics, but the ECM is not responding as it should to programming software. This car does not start. The engine will turn over with a booster box, but that's all it does. The windshield wipers are stuck in the up position. There is some evidence of chassis damage, the hood is not lining up correctly and the doors and front fenders are not lining up correctly. There is some front bumper damage. The brakes are not functioning, and the rotors and calipers have heavy rust on them. The fuel pump is not functioning, and yes, I have tried supplying power directly to it and still nothing. I was actually the 2nd owner of this car several years ago. It was built by a company that is no longer in business out of Mooresville, NC. I sold the car to the current owner about four years ago. It was running then. After the current owner passed away I was appointed by the Court to sell the assets of the Estate. I do not have any idea what happened to the car in the last 4 years. I had the Corvette towed to my storage lot and have gone through it hoping that something simple would get it running again. Unfortunately, this car is going to require a lot to get it back right. It does not have an LS1, an LS6 was installed. In all honesty this is the 3rd or 4th engine in this car. The LS6 is supercharged. There are a lot of rumors running around about what happened to the car, possibly an overheat, possibly a slide off the road, possible flood damage. Again, I don't personally know what happened to it in the last 4 years. This Corvette would make an excellent project for somebody. I have not checked the clutch or transmission, and cannot tell you whether they are any good or not. This car will have to be towed or put on a trailer to get it home. You must be able to pick up the car and load it, I cannot provide assistance in loading. I have 2 keys to the car, one is the original with FOB, and one is from a locksmith. There are no manuals, and the cam card is missing from the glovebox. The title is clear and in my hand. If you have questions, I will do my best to answer them. Please ask questions before bidding. I want you, the winning bidder, to be happy with your purchase. This car is sold as-is where-is. There is no warranty expressed or implied. Given that this is an Estate sale, all sales are final. This Corvette will need to be picked up within 7 days of the auction closing. Please do not email asking to just buy parts off the car. I believe the car has around 57,000 miles on it. On Jun-27-17 at 19:38:54 PDT, seller added the following information: To answer a couple of questions I have already received. The car will need tires, the ones that are on it are showing dryrot. No, this car does not run and drive. No, it does not start at all. No, you cannot work on the car at my storage location to see if you can get it running. No, the security system is not what's preventing it from running.
