68 Camaro coupe project car. The engine, I believe is a 307 based on the rear block casting number (3970024). I think it may also have been rebuilt as there is no normal front left block pad factory stamped numbers/letters that would identify the engine installed at the factory. Suspect they could have been ground away if block was decked to square it for rebuild. The engine runs good. It has a Rochester 2 barrel carburetor just rebuilt. Transmission is a power glide automatic with after market B&M floor shifter. It has a 12 bolt rear end. The vehicle is drivable but I wouldn’t consider it long road worthy as there are numerous items needing work: Left turn signal not working, left head light out, starting circuit has issue – have to start with a temporary switch bypassing ignition switch, right rear shock missing, wipers not working, fuel gauge and speedometer not accurate, It’s been in storage for the past 22 years and tires show some checking. Glass is all original and intact. Windshield has a small stone chip and shows some scratching due to end wiper contact. Rear side windows forward rubber seals loose. Original glove box and door removed but available. Dash padding removed but metal trim available. Original front door post trim available. Original rear glass outside trim partially available – two side pieces missing. We originally bought this car second hand for my daughter and as a rebuild project. She drove it while in high school. I got too busy with work and she went on to college so we stored it. We’re both beyond taking up the project again so we’d like to see someone else get to enjoy it.
